As a Staff Software Engineer on the Clinical Fit team, you will play a key role in developing and scaling systems that connect patients with the healthcare providers and services best suited to their individual needs. This position involves working on complex data-driven projects, integrating emerging AI technologies, and improving the accuracy and efficiency of healthcare matching algorithms. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, data scientists, and fellow engineers, to deliver impactful solutions that enhance the overall patient experience. Your work will directly contribute to transforming healthcare access and personalization through innovative engineering practices and data insights.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Design, develop, and implement scalable software solutions for critical projects within the Clinical Fit team, ensuring they meet high standards of reliability, performance, and security.
- Collaborate with product managers, data scientists, and other engineering teams to define technical requirements and translate them into effective, maintainable code.
- Lead efforts to improve the accuracy, reliability, and efficiency of data processing pipelines, booking systems, and healthcare provider matching algorithms.
- Incorporate advanced generative AI tools into workflows to explore new capabilities such as AI-driven insights, personalized dashboards, and automation of routine tasks.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers through code reviews, technical discussions, and best practices, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Contribute to the architecture and design of data analytics platforms that support healthcare matching and personalization features.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare data standards, security protocols, and privacy regulations to protect sensitive patient and provider information.
- Participate in planning, technical discussions, and strategic initiatives to shape the future of the Clinical Fit platform and its capabilities.
- Advocate for user-centric design principles, data privacy, and ethical AI practices in all development efforts.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions that deliver measurable impact.
- Stay current with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in AI, data analytics, and healthcare technology to continuously enhance the platform.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in developing scalable, data-centric backend services and front-end visualizations in high-scale environments.
- Proficiency in modern programming languages and frameworks relevant to data-driven applications, such as Python, Java, or similar.
- Hands-on experience with integrating AI and machine learning models into production systems, especially generative AI tools.
- Strong understanding of data pipelines, ETL processes, and analytics platforms supporting healthcare or similar sensitive data domains.
- Proven ability to work effectively in collaborative, fast-paced environments with cross-functional teams.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with a focus on building reliable, maintainable, and scalable solutions.
- Strong communication skills to articulate complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.

- The salary range for this position is between $210,000 and $270,000 USD, depending on experience and qualifications.
