About the role
In this position, you will collaborate with various leaders at Zocdoc to facilitate financial planning, investment evaluations, and executive reporting. Your work will be crucial in guiding resource allocation and will involve managing financial planning for our General and Administrative functions. This role is designed for individuals who are analytical, curious about the operations of a tech company, and eager to transform financial data into meaningful insights.

What you'll do
- Collaborate with teams in Finance, HR, Legal, and other departments to create annual plans, assess investments, allocate resources, and forecast financial outcomes.
- Manage financial models that project key aspects of the Profit and Loss statement and Balance Sheet, identifying potential risks and opportunities as market conditions change.
- Work with Finance leadership to prepare executive reports and financial insights that inform decisions made by the CEO, CFO, leadership team, Board of Directors, and investors.
- Provide financial and operational reports to business leaders, aiding their understanding of performance and facilitating informed decision-making.
- Develop business cases and conduct ad hoc analyses to assess investments, resource distribution, and strategic initiatives.
- Lead discussions with stakeholders and prepare materials for forecasting, budgeting, and performance reviews.
- Utilize financial systems and data tools to enhance reporting, improve performance visibility, and streamline decision-making.
- Contribute to the company-wide budgeting and FP&A processes, focusing on continuous enhancement and stronger business partnerships.
Requirements
- 2 to 4 years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, valuation, investment banking, or corporate accounting, with a strong background in building models and analyses for business decisions.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics, or a related field.
- Comprehensive understanding of corporate finance and GAAP accounting principles.
- Excellent analytical, business partnering, and communication skills.
- Ability to convert financial and operational data into clear insights for non-financial audiences.
- Strong business acumen and a desire to understand the factors influencing performance across various functions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong organizational abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
- Experience with financial Enterprise Performance Management systems such as Planful, Oracle Cloud, or Workday Adaptive Planning; familiarity with BI or data visualization tools is advantageous.
- Enthusiasm for leveraging technology and data to enhance analysis and decision-making.
- Strong academic performance.

- NYC Base Salary Range: $100,000 - $130,000 USD
