About the role
The owns the end-to-end consumer marketplace roadmap, translating complex insurance rules into calm, simple patient journeys. You will design intuitive flows for search, discovery, and booking across web and native platforms to ensure a seamless user experience. This role requires close partnership with designers, operations, trust and safety, finance, and analytics teams to turn messy insurance realities into clear product behaviors that uphold the in-network guarantee. Your work will directly shape how patients find care, understand coverage, and book appointments with confidence and clarity. You will maintain composure under ambiguity and drive crawl, walk, and run solutions that advance access while respecting privacy rules. Your responsibilities include defining and owning the marketplace roadmap from discovery through shipped solutions and designing flows that reduce insurance complexity. You will translate research findings into requirements that keep in-network guarantees visible and trustworthy for every patient interaction.

What you'll do
- Define and own the end-to-end plan for search, discovery, and booking experiences across web and native applications.
- Coordinate with engineering to convert complex insurance rules into clear, testable product behaviors that patients can easily understand.
- Translate research findings into precise requirements that keep in-network guarantees visible and trustworthy throughout the patient journey.
- Partner with operations and trust and safety teams to align policies with patient safety, privacy expectations, and ethical standards.
- Define and track metrics that demonstrate patients reach care faster and with fewer billing surprises, using data to inform decisions.
- Prioritize experiments that test simpler paths to coverage clarity and cost confidence, iterating based on real usage patterns.
- Collaborate with marketing and sales to align campaigns with real patient behavior, ensuring messaging reflects actual booking flows.
- Use live usage data to guide iterative improvements to the booking experience, enhancing clarity and reducing patient friction.
- Ensure changes respect privacy rules while keeping workflows frictionless and accessible for diverse patient needs.
- Develop deep empathy and understanding of patient needs, pain points, and goals through ongoing research and cross-functional collaboration.
- Communicate clearly in writing and verbal discussions, especially when handling sensitive healthcare decisions and insurance details.
- Maintain composure under ambiguity and drive crawl, walk, and run solutions that steadily advance access and patient trust.
Requirements
You bring six or more years of product management experience, ideally in marketplaces or insurance environments where complexity is managed with clarity. You communicate clearly and listen actively, even when topics involve sensitive healthcare decisions that impact real lives. You remain calm under high ambiguity and still ship iterative solutions that move patients forward without compromising quality. You care deeply about healthcare access and consistently reject poor patient experiences that create barriers to care. You use data to drive stories that align cross-functional teams around actionable insights and shared goals. You are comfortable asking sharp questions about SQL, Amplitude, Looker, and Salesforce to understand product performance and user behavior. You understand how to work within regulatory and compliance constraints while maintaining a patient-first mindset in every decision. You are able to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, balancing strategic vision with practical implementation details.
Nice to have
Experience selling into enterprise healthcare buyers and managing executive stakeholders is helpful but not required for this role, as the focus remains on product execution and patient outcomes.
