About the role
Zeta Global is seeking a Director, Talent Management to lead the company's talent strategy and people operations from its New York office. This senior leadership position oversees workforce planning, employee development programs, and organizational design across the enterprise. The role reports to senior leadership and shapes how Zeta Global attracts, retains, and grows its global talent. The Director partners with business unit heads to align people strategies with company objectives and drives initiatives that enhance organizational effectiveness and support long-term business goals.

What you'll do
Lead the design and execution of talent management strategies that support Zeta Global's growth objectives and long-term workforce needs. Partner with senior business leaders to identify critical roles and build succession plans that ensure continuity in key positions across the organization. Oversee performance management programs, including goal-setting frameworks, review cycles, and calibration processes that drive accountability and high performance. Direct employee engagement and retention initiatives, analyzing turnover data and implementing interventions to reduce attrition and strengthen culture. Manage the full lifecycle of learning and development, from needs assessments to program delivery and impact measurement across all departments. Collaborate with the human resources team to develop compensation and benefits strategies that are competitive and aligned with market benchmarks. Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts by embedding inclusive practices into talent processes, hiring pipelines, and leadership development programs. Guide managers and team leads on coaching conversations, career development conversations, and talent review meetings to build internal leadership capability. Oversee the implementation of HR technology platforms and talent analytics tools that provide insights into workforce trends and organizational health. Coordinate with finance and operations to forecast headcount needs, manage hiring budgets, and ensure talent acquisition aligns with business planning cycles. Support the company's culture and values by designing recognition programs, internal communications, and events that reinforce Zeta Global's mission and identity. Ensure compliance with employment regulations and company policies by maintaining up-to-date documentation and supporting audit readiness across all HR processes.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in human resources, organizational psychology, business administration, or a related field is required. A minimum of ten years of progressive experience in talent management, human resources, or organizational development is expected. Demonstrated experience leading a team of HR professionals and managing multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment. Deep knowledge of talent acquisition, performance management, learning and development, and employee relations practices. Proven track record of designing and implementing talent strategies that improved retention, engagement, or leadership pipeline quality. Strong understanding of employment laws and regulations relevant to talent management and workforce planning. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present to executive audiences and influence senior stakeholders. Experience working with HR information systems and talent analytics platforms to generate reports and drive data-informed decisions. Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Nice to have
Master's degree in human resources, organizational development, business, or a related discipline. Experience in the customer data platform, marketing technology, or digital advertising industry. Familiarity with global talent management practices and cross-border workforce considerations. Prior experience managing vendor relationships with external recruiting firms, learning providers, or benefits consultants. Background in change management and organizational transformation initiatives. Exposure to public company environments or IPO-stage organizations is a plus.
Skills & tools
Proficiency in HR information systems such as Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, or equivalent talent management platforms. Experience with workforce analytics tools and data visualization software like Tableau, Power BI, or similar. Strong command of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for workforce modeling and reporting. Familiarity with applicant tracking systems and recruiting technology stacks. Knowledge of learning management systems for administering training programs at scale. Ability to use survey and feedback tools for measuring employee engagement and organizational health.
Practical notes
This role is based in Zeta Global's New York office with a hybrid work arrangement expected. The Director reports to the head of human resources and works closely with the executive team. Travel may be required occasionally for on-site meetings with regional teams or industry events. The position involves managing a team of HR professionals and cross-functional collaborators across multiple departments.
