About the role
Position: Director of Data Strategy & Analytics
Wpromote is seeking a Director of Data Strategy & Analytics to define and lead the evolution of our data strategy and analytics services. This role is central to enabling all delivery teams to access high-quality marketing data rapidly, driving transformative client outcomes. You will partner with Product to shape the Polaris roadmap, automating elements of Data Strategy & Analytics services to enhance efficiency and impact. The position requires a blend of executive client advisory, technical data leadership, and strategic oversight to deliver measurable business value.
In this role, you will act as a trusted advisor to senior clients, clarifying how data informs critical choices related to media, audiences, and creativity. You will establish scalable frameworks, analytics products, and data pipelines in collaboration with cross-functional partners in Product, Engineering, and Client Services. The position demands both high-level business strategy and hands-on technical expertise in data collection, advanced analytics, measurement, and automation.

Compensation and Benefits
The target annual salary for this position ranges from $120,000 to $160,000, determined by factors such as expertise, scope, and location. The total package includes comprehensive benefits and an annual performance bonus, based on company, department, and individual outcomes. This role is designated as remote within most U.S. states, with office hubs in Los Angeles, Chicago, and New York available for in-person collaboration when desired.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with executive stakeholders across Client & Media Strategy, Data Strategy & Analytics, and Engineering to deliver fast, high-quality, cross-channel data solutions.
- Lead and grow a team of Data Strategists while managing a portfolio of client engagements to ensure superior service delivery.
- Serve as an executive sponsor for enterprise clients, guiding data-driven decisions that shape media investment, audience targeting, and creative execution.
- Define and implement repeatable processes that make analytical solutions reproducible, documented, and integrated into client strategies.
- Drive new business opportunities by articulating the unique value of Data Strategy & Analytics, advising on MarTech and Polaris implementations.
- Act as an escalation owner for complex and novel challenges, resolving issues with clarity and speed.
- Educate internal teams on Data Strategy & Analytics capabilities to promote consistent best practices and adoption.
- Architect and maintain measurement frameworks, including taxonomy governance, KPI definitions, and executive dashboards.
- Provide thought leadership in areas such as Customer Data Platforms, media optimization, privacy compliance, and MarTech infrastructure.
- Mentor analysts and managers to foster a high-performance, client-first culture focused on continuous improvement.
Requirements
- 8 or more years of experience in digital analytics, data strategy, or marketing analytics leadership roles.
- Deep understanding of marketing and advertising technology ecosystems, including platforms such as Google Ads, Meta Ads, GA4, Looker, dbt, GCP, AWS, Adobe Analytics, CDP, and identity solutions.
- Familiarity with data taxonomy governance best practices across multiple advertising platforms.
- Experience creating and interpreting measurement models, including MMM, MTA, and incrementality testing.
- Demonstrated ability to convert data insights into action within performance marketing or growth environments.
- Exceptional executive communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for business audiences.
- Strong project management experience, managing multiple programs and stakeholders concurrently.
- History of mentoring analysts and managers to deliver scalable, reproducible analytical solutions.
Preferred Experience
- Extensive background with Adobe Analytics, RTCDP, and the broader Adobe Experience Cloud.
- Exposure to roles in Analytics Engineering, Data Engineering, Media Buying, or Client Services.
- Hands-on experience with Media Mix Modeling, Incrementality Testing, Forecasting, or Predictive Analytics.
- Practical skills in R, Python, SQL, machine learning techniques, and data visualization platforms.
- Experience building or integrating data products and internal analytics platforms.
- Leadership experience guiding analytics teams within performance marketing or agency settings.
