About the role
The position coordinates end-to-end close activities and partners with Tax, FP&A, Treasury, and operations to handle complex transactions. You will own the monthly close for multiple entities, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and quality while proactively flagging blockers and managing risks. This role requires you to balance competing timelines and shifting inputs, avoiding unnecessary complexity while supporting the Accounting & Reporting manager with status reports for CFO review. You will prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations, investigate variances, and link findings to business impact, communicating insights effectively to support CFO review. You will assist in shaping accounting policies, technical memos, and procedures under US GAAP/IFRS, creating documentation that allows non-technical partners to act with confidence. Success in this position depends on your ability to work cross-functionally with Tax, FP&A, Treasury, and Business teams to navigate complex transactions and group consolidation impacts. You will be expected to use a continuous improvement mindset to implement process improvements and automation, leveraging tools such as spreadsheets, dashboards, and enterprise financial systems to enhance speed and outcome quality.

Coordinate the monthly financial close for multiple entities to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and quality while surfacing risks early.
Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations, investigate variances, and analyze the business impact, linking findings to support CFO review.
Assist in drafting and maintaining accounting policies, technical memos, and procedures under US GAAP/IFRS, ensuring documentation is clear for non-technical partners.
Analyze financial data using key metrics and dashboards to validate hypotheses and connect accounting outcomes to measurable business impact.
Work with Tax, FP&A, Treasury, and Business teams on complex transactions and assess the group consolidation implications of each entry.
Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities to shorten closing timelines and strengthen internal controls.
Use strong analytical and problem-solving skills to break down complex problems and support decisions with reliable data and clear rationale.
Understand and analyze the impact of local entries, intercompany transactions, eliminations, FX, and CTA on group consolidation at the entity and group level.
Tailor communication for different audiences, including technical peers, FP&A leadership, and external auditors, while sharing progress and flagging blockers promptly.
Own end-to-end close processes for multiple entities, demonstrating timely execution and adherence to deadlines without unnecessary complexity.
Demonstrate solid understanding of consolidation concepts, including intercompany eliminations, FX/CTA treatment, and multi-entity reporting structures.
Coordinate cross-functional stakeholders to drive alignment under tight deadlines, ensuring that inputs from various teams are integrated smoothly.
Implement market best practices and emerging tools to continuously improve the efficiency, accuracy, and transparency of the close and reporting cycle.
Present options and trade-offs to non-technical partners, documenting decisions in a way that enables clear action by others and supports audit trails.

Requirements
Hold a Bachelor's degree in Accounting as a non-negotiable educational foundation for this role.
Bring solid experience in Accounting and Financial Reporting, with a proven track record of handling complex close cycles.
Demonstrate strong knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS, applying standards consistently across technical entries and disclosures.
Own timely monthly close processes end-to-end across multiple entities, maintaining rigor and consistency in every cycle.
Show a solid understanding of consolidation concepts, including intercompany eliminations, FX/CTA, and multi-entity structures and their accounting implications.
