Jr. Inside Sales Strategist
Job description
About the role
Join WebFX as a Jr. Inside Sales Strategist in Harrisburg, PA, and launch a sales career built on client communication and solution-based selling. This role is designed for recent graduates and career changers who are eager to learn, grow, and contribute from day one. We focus on potential over pedigree, providing structured training that transforms ambition into performance.
This is a full-time, in-person position based at our riverside campus in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Compensation ranges from $50,000 to $62,000 annually, with potential for growth based on experience and performance.
Your primary responsibilities will center on engaging prospective clients and supporting the sales team. You will answer inbound calls from interested parties, assess fit, and guide prospects through their decision journey. This position does not require cold calling; instead, you will manage follow-up conversations with the goal of converting interest into committed clients. Expect to spend about 60% of your day on these client-facing communications.
A significant portion of your work, approximately 30%, will involve developing and presenting proposals. You will learn WebFX's full catalog of products and services to align solutions with client needs. You will help craft web marketing strategies for pitch meetings and present proposals to current and future partners, primarily through virtual meetings and occasional in-person visits. In these moments, you will support senior strategists by contributing analysis and organized insights.
The remaining 10% of your time will be dedicated to supporting senior sales professionals. You will act as an administrator for our customer relationship management platform, updating schedules and maintaining accurate records. This role will also involve calling and setting appointments with qualified leads. By maintaining precise pipeline data, you provide the team with real-time visibility into upcoming opportunities.
Learning and growth are central to this position. You will participate in an initial training period focused on foundational sales and technical skills. As you progress, you will attend advanced sessions led by industry experts and engage in regular team learning events held in our on-site facilities. Clear performance metrics can lead to promotions, with opportunities to advance through roles such as Web Strategist, Associate Web Strategist, Associate Lead Strategy Consultant, Lead Strategy Consultant, and Sr. Web Strategy Consultant.
We seek candidates with a Bachelor's Degree and a minimum GPA of 3.4. All academic majors are welcome, and upcoming graduates may apply if they will complete their degree within one year. Prior work experience in any capacity is valued, as it demonstrates readiness for professional environments. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential, along with proven customer service experience and the ability to build relationships.
Additional strengths include confident presentation skills, sharp analytical thinking, and comfort using data to guide decisions. While digital marketing experience is beneficial, it is not required. We provide comprehensive training on every tool and tactic you will need. Proficiency in Excel and Google Suite is helpful for organizing information and streamlining tasks.
If you are a self-motivated, dependable professional who takes pride in high-quality output, we encourage you to apply. We hire for curiosity, resilience, and a commitment to continuous learning. Hard skills can be taught, but attitude and drive are what define our partners.
