About the Role
WebFX is seeking an entry-level candidate for our Earned Media team who will become a dedicated digital networking professional focused on building authentic publisher relationships. You will own the research and outreach workflow that connects our clients with the right journalists and online publishers in their niche. This role requires you to develop and pitch compelling content ideas that secure placements and drive visibility for our customers across the digital landscape. You will manage the full content placement workflow from initial concept through to publication and performance review. A core part of this position involves becoming a specialist in earning references and citations for clients within AI search results and traditional search engine results pages. You will implement SEO content and link-building best practices to ensure every piece of content moves the needle for client visibility. This position is centered on proactive problem-solving where you will use data to make decisions and communicate findings clearly to internal stakeholders. What you'll do
- Digitally network with online bloggers, publishers, and journalists, maintaining these relationships over time to build a robust ecosystem of industry contacts.
- Develop and pitch content ideas to publishing outlets, tailoring each proposal to the outlet's audience and editorial focus.
- Drive client visibility in AI search results by securing earned content placements, citations, brand mentions, and back-links across authoritative third-party websites.
- Position your clients for maximum AI and search visibility through strategic publisher placements that align with their business goals.
- Manage the strategic content placement workflow from ideation to publication, coordinating content creation and ensuring timely delivery.
- Post original digital content relevant to our clients' keywords and SEO campaigns, ensuring each piece supports broader visibility objectives.
- Implement SEO content and link-building best practices to strengthen domain authority and improve search performance.
- Analyze and research for best performance by using web analytics to measure the impact of content campaigns and identify areas for improvement.
- Generate and research topics for web content such as infographics, blog posts, and content promotions based on data and emerging trends.
- Utilize tools like Excel, Google Suite, Google Analytics, DataStudio, and RevenueCloudFX to organize, track, and report on campaign progress.
Requirements
- Have a bachelor's degree (OR, are you within 1 year of graduating with your bachelor's degree?) and must be available to work full-time from the Harrisburg, PA office after graduation.
- All majors are welcome, but you must demonstrate a strong interest in digital public relations and digital marketing.
- Have a cumulative GPA of 3.4 or above to be considered for this role.
- Have prior working experience in any field, such as a part-time job, summer job, internship, or other professional capacity.
- Be interested in and able to work full-time from our office in Harrisburg, PA, with a commitment to in-person collaboration.
- Able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing to collaborate with team members and clients.
- Be a strong researcher who can gather information from diverse sources and synthesize it into actionable insights.
