About the role
Vendelux is looking for an experienced Technical Recruiter to lead the full-cycle hiring process for software engineering roles at all levels. You will work closely with engineering managers and company founders to understand technical needs, team culture, and hiring standards. Your primary focus will be on building a strong pipeline of qualified engineering candidates through proactive sourcing, community engagement, and tailored outreach. The role involves managing the interview process, negotiating offers, and ensuring a positive candidate experience from initial contact to onboarding. This position is integral to scaling Vendelux's engineering team as the company continues to grow rapidly. What you'll do
- Manage the entire recruitment lifecycle for software engineering roles, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and closing candidates.
- Collaborate closely with engineering managers, technical leads, and founders to develop a deep understanding of the technical requirements, team dynamics, and cultural fit for each role.
- Build and maintain a robust pipeline of engineering talent by proactively sourcing candidates through outbound outreach, leveraging referrals, and engaging with relevant communities and networks.
- Develop compelling, personalized outreach messages that resonate with technical candidates, clearly communicating Vendelux's mission, engineering culture, and growth opportunities.
- Design and implement a structured interview process, including defining evaluation criteria, training interviewers, and ensuring consistency and fairness throughout the candidate experience.
- Manage the negotiation process for offers, ensuring competitiveness based on current market data and internal compensation benchmarks.
- Track key recruiting metrics such as pipeline health, time-to-fill, source effectiveness, and candidate quality, using data to identify areas for process improvement.
- Assist in refining recruiting processes, tools, and employer branding initiatives to support company growth and attract diverse talent pools.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure a seamless candidate experience, from initial outreach through onboarding, maintaining clear communication and feedback loops.
- Stay informed about industry trends, talent market conditions, and emerging sourcing channels to continuously improve recruiting strategies.
- Support diversity and inclusion initiatives by actively seeking out diverse candidates and fostering an equitable hiring process.
- Participate in employer branding activities, including representing Vendelux at industry events, career fairs, and online communities to enhance the company's visibility as an employer of choice.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior recruiting team members, sharing best practices and recruiting insights.
- Collaborate with HR and onboarding teams to facilitate a smooth transition for new hires, ensuring they are well-supported during their initial onboarding period.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all recruiting activities and candidate interactions within ATS platforms such as Greenhouse or Lever.
- Contribute to the development of recruiting materials, job descriptions, and outreach campaigns that effectively communicate Vendelux's value proposition.
- Participate in strategic planning sessions to align recruiting efforts with company growth objectives and product development timelines.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of recruiting experience, with at least 5 years of in-house experience at a technology company.
- Demonstrated success in recruiting software engineers across multiple disciplines, including backend, frontend, fullstack, infrastructure, and ML/AI.
- Experience working at early-stage startups (Seed through Series B), with comfort navigating ambiguity, shifting priorities, and high-velocity environments.
- Strong technical literacy, capable of understanding engineering job requirements, discussing technical stacks with candidates, and evaluating technical backgrounds accurately.
- Proven track record of filling difficult senior engineering roles through creative and proactive sourcing methods, not solely inbound applications.
- Ability to work independently without extensive recruiting infrastructure or large talent acquisition teams, demonstrating a scrappy, self-sufficient approach.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with candidates, hiring managers, and cross-functional partners.
- Familiarity with ATS platforms such as Greenhouse, Lever, and sourcing tools like LinkedIn Recruiter.
- Knowledge of current compensation benchmarks and market trends for engineering roles.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple requisitions simultaneously and prioritize effectively.
