GTM Sourcer - NYC
Job description
About the role
Vendelux is seeking a Contract GTM Sourcer to join our team in New York City. This role involves finding top talent for both Go-To-Market and technical positions, collaborating closely with hiring managers and leadership. You will own the full sourcing lifecycle for critical GTM and engineering hires, acting as the primary talent hunter for the team. This is a 6-month contract with the potential for full-time conversion based on performance and business needs. The position demands a high level of ownership, requiring you to proactively build pipelines rather than reactively review applicants. You will be responsible for ensuring that the best possible candidates are identified and engaged for our most important roles. Success in this role will be defined by your ability to consistently deliver a diverse and high-quality flow of candidates. You will play a key role in shaping the talent landscape for our New York office and supporting the company's growth trajectory.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Partner with full-cycle recruiters and hiring managers to deeply understand the requirements for open GTM (sales, marketing, partnerships, customer success) and engineering roles, translating those needs into actionable sourcing strategies.
- Execute high-volume, targeted outbound sourcing campaigns designed to uncover passive candidates across a wide spectrum of GTM and technical disciplines.
- Craft and deploy highly personalized outreach messages and connection requests tailored to specific audiences, from senior Account Executives to senior Software Engineers, to maximize response rates.
- Conduct rigorous screening of incoming applications and proactively sourced candidates, performing initial assessments to evaluate suitability and delivering clear, documented summaries to the recruiting team.
- Maintain meticulous records within the Applicant Tracking System, ensuring all candidate information, outreach attempts, and pipeline movements are accurately tracked to measure performance and refine strategies.
- Research and map new and existing sourcing channels, communities, and niche talent pools relevant to both technical and GTM hiring, expanding the scope of talent discovery.
- Analyze candidate pipeline metrics and sourcing engagement data to provide regular, insightful updates to recruiters and hiring managers, highlighting key market trends and opportunities.
- Identify and leverage hidden talent markets by exploring alternative platforms and communities where qualified candidates for specialized roles are likely to be found.
- Collaborate with the recruiting team to develop and test new sourcing hypotheses, iterating on approaches based on feedback and conversion data to improve overall effectiveness.
- Act as a subject matter expert on the NYC talent market for specific GTM roles, providing context and intelligence that informs hiring decisions and employer branding.
- Ensure all candidate interactions, whether initial outreach or follow-up, are professional, respectful, and aligned with the company's values and brand.
- Balance multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment, managing a diverse portfolio of roles simultaneously without compromising on quality or thoroughness.
Requirements
- 2 or more years of dedicated sourcing or recruiting experience, covering both GTM and technical roles, demonstrating a proven track record of success in diverse hiring environments.
- Strong understanding of GTM talent markets, including sales and marketing structures, job titles, career paths, and quality indicators at various seniority levels, allowing for precise targeting.
- Sufficient technical understanding to effectively source for software engineering roles, including the ability to evaluate job specifications and assess candidate backgrounds against technical requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to generate candidate pipelines through proactive, creative outbound sourcing, not relying on inbound applications or passive job board posting alone.
- Proficiency with core sourcing tools such as LinkedIn Recruiter, Boolean search techniques, and at least one Applicant Tracking System (e.g., Greenhouse, Lever) for efficient workflow management.
- Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, adapting quickly to shifting priorities and new challenges.
- Excellent written communication skills for crafting compelling, clear, and effective outreach messages that resonate with potential candidates across various professional levels.
- A commitment to maintaining data integrity and process discipline, ensuring that all sourcing activities are documented and insights are shared to drive continuous improvement.
Nice to have
- Previous experience at a startup or high-growth technology company, where agility and a broad scope of responsibility are the norm.
