About the role
We are seeking a dynamic leader to join our Data team as the Head of Analytics. In this role, you will spearhead our analytics initiatives, providing critical insights into customer behaviors and product performance for our event marketing intelligence platform. You will be responsible for shaping the overall analytics strategy, influencing product decisions, driving growth, and enhancing customer experiences. This position requires you to lead a talented team of analysts and report directly to the Head of Data & AI.

What you'll do
- Formulate and implement the comprehensive analytics strategy for Vendelux, which includes establishing measurement frameworks, defining key metrics, setting reporting standards, and managing our analytics platform.
- Lead and mentor a high-performing analytics team dedicated to delivering actionable insights that will shape product strategy and influence the product roadmap.
- Collaborate with cross-functional leaders and executives to identify, define, and monitor essential company metrics, ensuring that initiatives are prioritized based on their measurable impact on customers and the business.
- Oversee forecasting efforts and provide analytical insights into the elements that drive both company and product performance.
- Conduct thorough analyses of customer engagement with our event intelligence offerings, focusing on aspects like data coverage, campaign conversion rates, and ROI metrics to uncover growth opportunities and inform product development.
- Partner with Engineering teams to enhance the semantic layer that supports our analytics platform, improve metric governance, and broaden self-service analytics capabilities for users.
- Foster a culture of data-driven decision-making across the organization by promoting the use of analytics in strategic discussions.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in analytics to ensure that Vendelux remains at the forefront of data-driven marketing intelligence.
Requirements
- A minimum of 8-10 years of experience in product analytics, data science, or quantitative analytics, ideally within a B2B SaaS environment.
- At least 3-5 years of experience in leading and developing analytics teams, with a proven track record of collaborating with senior leaders on strategic initiatives.
- Proficiency in SQL and strong programming skills in Python or a similar analytical language.
- Extensive knowledge of product metrics and growth analytics, particularly in a B2B context.
- Practical experience with modern data platforms, such as Snowflake and dbt, along with familiarity with BI tools like Sigma, Looker, or Tableau.
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with non-technical senior stakeholders.
- A comfort level with fast-paced, high-growth environments, demonstrating agility and adaptability in your work.
Nice to have
- A Master's degree in Analytics, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or another related quantitative discipline.
- Experience with machine learning techniques and their application in product analytics.
- Familiarity with data visualization best practices and the ability to create compelling narratives from data insights.

This position is a hybrid role based in our New York City headquarters, allowing for a blend of in-office and remote work.
