Data & AI Product Manager
Job description
About the role
You will own the end-to-end strategy and execution of AI features that bring clarity and transparency to the event marketing industry. You will translate ambiguous market problems into structured product hypotheses and define success metrics for every AI initiative. You will partner with data scientists and engineers to turn experimental models into reliable, user-facing features that drive real behavior change. You will design the logic behind how insights are generated, consumed, and acted upon across our platform. You will ensure that conversational interfaces feel intuitive, accurate, and trustworthy for every type of user. You will be responsible for aligning technical constraints with business goals so that AI capabilities directly support customer value and retention. You will continuously learn from usage data and user feedback to iterate on features long after initial launch.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Map and manage the lifecycle of AI features, tracing how raw event data becomes insight generation and then actionable user recommendations.
- Define the requirements and acceptance criteria for natural language chat interfaces that allow users to query complex event data with confidence.
- Architect and oversee LLM-driven pipelines that handle data enrichment, classification, summarization, and automated recommendation suggestions.
- Own the end-to-end data platform logic, including data attribution rules, flow definitions, and the structural integrity of event datasets.
- Act as the primary liaison between engineering and data science teams, ensuring that experiments are translated into functional, scalable products.
- Champion accuracy and evaluation as core product metrics, establishing testing frameworks for AI-generated outputs and monitoring quality over time.
- Balance innovation with reliability by setting guardrails, monitoring system behavior, and prioritizing safe rollout strategies for new AI capabilities.
- Interpret complex technical tradeoffs and communicate them clearly to cross-functional stakeholders, including executives, designers, and customer-facing teams.
- Identify opportunities to standardize data models so they better support AI workflows, improving consistency across reports, summaries, and chat responses.
- Drive the collection of qualitative and quantitative feedback to refine prompts, interfaces, and recommendation logic based on real usage patterns.
- Lead prioritization sessions that weigh the value of new AI experiments against the cost of implementation and ongoing maintenance.
- Establish documentation and playbooks for model behavior, expected outcomes, and troubleshooting steps to support both internal teams and customers.
- Collaborate on defining product metrics that reflect how often AI features are used and how deeply they are embedded in critical workflows.
- Work closely with customer-facing teams to identify edge cases and failure modes that may not be visible in internal testing.
Requirements
- Bring 3+ years of experience in product management or a closely related role, with a track record of delivering data-centric products.
- Demonstrate technical proficiency with LLMs, including how they are prompted, retrieved, and integrated into production workflows.
- Show the ability to design, evaluate, and iterate on AI features, including the implementation of guardrails and quality measurement strategies.
- Possess a strong understanding of data modeling and the architectural decisions needed to support reliable AI functionality at scale.
- Have hands-on experience with data-intensive or ML-driven products, and feel comfortable writing SQL to explore data and diagnose system issues.
- Prove you can ship complex products that involve ambiguity, and that you can communicate technical tradeoffs to diverse stakeholders without jargon.
- Exhibit comfort working in fast-paced environments where requirements evolve based on new insights about user behavior and model performance.
- Have a history of making decisions with incomplete information while still maintaining clarity for your team and stakeholders.
Nice to have
- Experience launching LLM-based assistants or chatbots that were responsible for real user interactions.
- Familiarity with AI observability tools, model evaluation frameworks, or prompt management systems.
- A professional background in GTM workflows or within the event marketing industry, with an understanding of how events create business value.
Practical notes
- This role is based in New York, NY, and requires hybrid presence at our headquarters.
- The position is full-time, and candidates must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.
