Tifin is actively seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to manage core financial operations and reporting. You will play a central role in maintaining accurate records and supporting the fiscal health of our organization. What you'll do
- Execute comprehensive oversight of daily accounting functions and general ledger maintenance to ensure the integrity, accuracy, and reliability of financial data.
- Compile, analyze, and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements with meticulous attention to compliance requirements and reporting deadlines.
- Optimize and manage accounts payable and accounts receivable workflows to facilitate efficient cash flow, vendor relationships, and customer billing processes.
- Coordinate and provide full support for audit preparations and the documentation necessary for tax filings, ensuring all materials are accurate and readily accessible.
- Perform detailed, month-end and year-end bank and credit card statement reconciliations to resolve discrepancies promptly and ensure records align with institutional records.
- Provide robust support for the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring all deliverables are meticulously prepared and met on schedule.
- Monitor key financial metrics and analyze variances to identify trends, providing actionable insights and recommendations for operational improvement to management.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional departments to gather necessary data, streamline financial reporting procedures, and improve overall process efficiency.
- Implement and maintain robust internal controls that safeguard organizational assets, ensure regulatory compliance, and mitigate financial risk.
- Act as a key liaison with external stakeholders, including auditors, banks, and regulatory bodies, regarding financial inquiries, verification requests, and documentation provision.
Requirements
- Hold a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field as the foundational credential for this senior-level position.
- Possess a minimum of 3 years of professional accounting experience demonstrating a proven track record of success in similar roles.
- Show proficiency in financial reporting and a thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) standards and their specific application within a complex environment.
- Exhibit strong analytical skills and an acute attention to detail in all aspects of financial management, ensuring accuracy and compliance in every task.
- Demonstrate the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while maintaining the highest level of accuracy.
- Validate your understanding of internal controls and their critical role in mitigating financial, operational, and compliance risk.
- Confirm your capability to work independently with minimal supervision while consistently adhering to strict deadlines and quality standards.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies, internal procedures, and all relevant regulatory requirements in every task performed.
Nice to have
- Possess CPA certification or be actively progressing toward completion of the certification, which is a distinct professional advantage for this role.
- Bring prior experience working within the fintech or software industry to understand specific sector challenges, dynamics, and regulatory considerations.
- Demonstrate familiarity with modern, automated accounting software platforms and technologies to enhance efficiency, reduce manual processes, and improve scalability.
