About the role

The is responsible for driving the accuracy and integrity of the organization's financial operations on a daily basis. What you'll do

• Execute the full cycle of general accounting, including the preparation of monthly journal entries for revenue recognition, payroll, and accruals with a focus on accuracy and timeliness.
• Maintain fixed asset schedules to ensure correct classification and depreciation calculations, reviewing source documents for proper accounting treatment on an ongoing basis.
• Reconcile bank accounts, fixed assets, intercompany items, and general ledger sub-ledgers to resolve discrepancies and ensure financial data integrity.
• Identify and propose solutions for new or unusual business transactions, applying analytical skills to support complex accounting decisions.
• Collaborate with external accountants to complete the month-end close process on schedule, ensuring all deliverables are met efficiently.
• Coordinate data flow with external accounting firms for audit and corporate tax engagements, serving as the primary liaison for financial documentation.
• Respond to auditor inquiries while maintaining organized records and schedules, ensuring a clean audit trail is preserved for compliance.
• Support the transition of ERP and AP solutions from an external firm to Vitana-held licenses, enabling greater operational control and system efficiency.
• Review source documents for proper accounting treatment, ensuring transactions are classified and recorded in accordance with US GAAP.
• Participate in special projects and other initiatives as needed, demonstrating flexibility and a proactive approach to evolving business requirements.
• Ensure daily accounting activities align with corporate policies and regulatory standards, reinforcing a culture of compliance and transparency.
• Provide timely and accurate financial information to support internal decision-making and strategic planning efforts within the organization.
• Maintain a detailed understanding of accounting transactions to support continuous process improvement and system enhancements.

Requirements

• Possess a minimum of two years of accounting or finance experience, ideally spanning both public and private sectors to build a versatile skill set.
