You will own the end-to-end financial lifecycle for assigned practice partners, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in every transaction you touch. You will partner closely with dental providers to interpret their financial data and translate it into actionable insights that drive smarter decisions. You will act as a trusted financial advisor, guiding practices through complex scenarios with clarity and professionalism in every interaction you manage. You will maintain rigorous compliance with accounting standards and internal controls, safeguarding the integrity of financial information you handle. You will identify trends and anomalies within financial reports, using your analytical mindset to highlight opportunities for efficiency and growth. You will collaborate cross-functionally with operations and clinical teams to resolve issues and align financial outcomes with strategic objectives they support. You will steward the budgeting and forecasting process, providing transparent visibility into performance against targets for the businesses you serve. You will contribute to process improvement initiatives, helping to refine systems and procedures that enhance the financial experience for our partners and colleagues.

What you'll do
Perform month-end close activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statement preparation with attention to detail you apply consistently. Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring bills are approved and issued on schedule while monitoring cash flow to support operational needs you help manage. Reconcile bank statements and credit card feeds, investigating discrepancies and resolving issues promptly to maintain accurate records you rely on. Support payroll processing, verifying hours, deductions, and compliance so team members receive correct compensation on time for work they complete. Generate and analyze financial reports, including profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash flow statements, presenting findings in clear formats stakeholders can use. Assist with budget preparation and variance analysis, comparing actual results to forecasts and explaining differences to inform future planning sessions. Maintain general ledger integrity, ensuring chart of accounts structure supports accurate reporting and audit trails you can trace easily. Collaborate with practice leadership to interpret financial metrics, track key performance indicators, and identify trends that inform strategic choices. Contribute to tax preparation activities, gathering documentation and responding to inquiries to support compliance obligations year-round. Champion process improvements, proposing solutions that streamline workflows, reduce manual effort, and strengthen controls over financial data you help protect.
Requirements
Must possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or demonstrate equivalent experience through coursework and professional practice you have completed. Bring a proven track record of at least three years in accounting or finance roles, with direct exposure to healthcare, dental, or professional services environments you understand. Show proficiency in accounting software, Microsoft Excel, and data visualization tools, using these systems daily to produce accurate results you depend on. Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills, enabling you to explain financial concepts to non-financial colleagues in language they can apply. Thrive in a hybrid work model, balancing in-office collaboration a few days each week with independent remote focus that supports your productivity. Commit to maintaining confidentiality and exercising sound judgment when handling sensitive financial and patient information you encounter. Possess solid analytical and problem-solving abilities, using logic and evidence to evaluate situations and reach well-reasoned conclusions. Nice to have
Experience working with dental, orthodontic, or pediatric practices, giving you familiarity with industry-specific revenue cycles and payer models. Knowledge of dental software systems such as Eaglesoft, Open Dental, or similar platforms that manage clinical and administrative data. Understanding of ASC 606 revenue recognition principles as they apply to multi-location service businesses you support. Familiarity with QuickBooks Online, NetSuite, or ERP systems that centralize financial information across organizations. Background in compliance, risk, or internal audit roles, bringing a mindset focused on controls, documentation, and governance. Experience with advanced Excel functions, including VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and macros that help automate repetitive tasks you encounter. Exposure to billing, collections, and insurance verification processes common in dental practices where reimbursement structures vary. Comfort with process mapping, documentation, and the use of workflow tools to capture and improve how financial activities are performed. Willingness to mentor junior staff, share best practices, and contribute to a learning culture that grows the capabilities of your teammates.
Practical notes
This is a full-time position with a hybrid work arrangement, requiring in-office presence on designated days to support team collaboration. Travel is not required for this role, allowing you to focus entirely on the practices and systems within our network. The position is open to candidates who are authorized to work in the United States, and sponsorship is not available at this time.
