About the role
You will serve as the chief executive for the Bangalore market, owning the complete profit and loss statement alongside investment wallet growth, team performance, and channel results. This is a field-intensive role that requires you to spend the majority of your time engaging directly with customers, partners, and your team on the ground. Success in this position hinges on hands-on execution, rigorous process discipline, and the ability to lead from the front during critical client interactions. You will architect the city's strategy while simultaneously managing the people, partnerships, and metrics that drive sustainable growth. The role demands high ownership, resilience, and a relentless focus on converting market potential into booked investments.

What you'll do
Architect and implement the city's go-to-market strategy, including micro-market mapping, pincode prioritization, and detailed funnel and beat plans.
Drive investment wallet growth through cross-selling, upselling, portfolio deepening, and targeted city-level campaigns across Fixed Deposits, Bonds, and Mutual Funds.
Acquire, activate, and scale a diverse portfolio of partners such as IFAs, DSAs, wealth boutiques, community leaders, housing societies, and corporates.
Manage partner onboarding, training, joint customer events, incentive governance, and performance hygiene to ensure activation and productivity.
Lead direct sales to high-value customers, securing marquee accounts while ensuring top-tier Net Promoter Scores and zero-defect KYC and documentation.
Hire, train, coach, and manage a field team of five to ten sales representatives, ensuring at least two years of prior team leadership experience under challenging targets.
Establish and maintain a rigorous operating rhythm that includes daily huddles, weekly reviews, pipeline hygiene, sales commitments, and continuous capability development.
Own city-level unit economics, including productivity, customer acquisition cost, average sales time, incentives, vendor spending, and return on investment metrics.
Adhere to process rigor by maintaining clean CRM hygiene, pipeline data, sales commitments, input tracking, and strict SOP compliance.
Ensure regulatory compliance related to KYC, AML, and PMLA, keeping operations clean, well-documented, and audit-ready at all times.
Track inputs moving to outputs by monitoring leads, meetings, commitments, investments, and renewals to identify risks and propose solutions quickly.
Collaborate with central product, operations, and marketing teams to ensure city feedback feeds into experiments, iterations, and broader product improvements.
Publish weekly and monthly dashboards to track performance, enabling early risk identification and the proposal of data-driven corrective actions.
Measure and optimize key performance indicators such as FD volume, average ticket size, wallet deepening, renewal rates, Bond volume, Mutual Fund metrics, lead-to-sale conversion, and cycle times.
Evaluate partner activation, productivity ramp speed, and overall partner health while monitoring team productivity, activity levels, visit metrics, and adherence to beat plans.
Analyze city unit economics, marketing ROI, and incentive efficiency, using insights to refine strategies and improve returns.
Monitor customer NPS scores to gauge relationship quality and identify opportunities to enhance the client experience.
Requirements
Candidates must possess 15 or more years of experience in city or branch-level sales within either retail banking or consumer-focused e-commerce startups.
Deep local city experience and a strong network are mandatory, requiring prior work in the hiring region to understand market dynamics and customer behavior.
Direct sales experience with retail or affluent customers is essential to build trust, manage expectations, and close complex financial products.
A proven ability to manage a field team of five to ten members for at least two years under challenging targets and regular reviews is required.
Mastery of sales processes, CRM systems, funnel metrics, and ground execution is expected to maintain discipline and predictability.
A Bachelor's degree is required, with an MBA preferred to demonstrate advanced understanding of business and people management.
Fluency in English and the local language is necessary for effective communication with customers, partners, and team members.

The compensation package is 24 LPA.
