What you'll do

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment processes across various environments.
• Collaborate with software development teams to identify and resolve build and deployment issues, ensuring a smooth workflow.
• Optimize existing build processes to reduce build times and improve overall efficiency, leveraging tools and technologies that best fit our needs.
• Monitor and troubleshoot build failures, providing timely solutions and documentation to prevent future occurrences.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation to ensure consistent environments across development, testing, and production.
• Implement security best practices within the CI/CD pipeline, ensuring that code is scanned for vulnerabilities before deployment.
• Work with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud to manage and provision resources for development and production environments.
• Participate in code reviews and provide mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, recommending new tools and practices that can enhance our DevOps capabilities.
• Document processes, configurations, and best practices to create a knowledge base for the team and facilitate onboarding of new team members.
• Collaborate with QA teams to integrate automated testing into the CI/CD pipeline, ensuring that quality is maintained throughout the development process.
• Engage in incident management and post-mortem analysis to improve system reliability and performance.

Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in DevOps or a related field, with a strong focus on build engineering.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Ruby to automate tasks and improve workflows.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI, and familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
• Solid understanding of containerization technologies, particularly Docker, and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
• Experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and a strong grasp of cloud-based architecture and services.
• Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack) to ensure system health and performance.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and experience working in an Agile environment is a plus.

Nice to have

• Certifications in relevant technologies (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Certified Kubernetes Administrator) are advantageous.
• Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
• Knowledge of security practices in DevOps, including compliance and risk management.
