Rubrik is seeking a seasoned Staff Product Manager to join our Cloud Data Protection team in Bangalore. In this role, you will play a crucial part in shaping our product strategy and ensuring the delivery of top-tier data protection solutions for public cloud environments. Your expertise will guide cross-functional teams as we strive to meet our customers' evolving data management needs. You will own the end-to-end lifecycle of our cloud data protection portfolio, balancing strategic vision with tactical execution. You will be responsible for translating complex customer requirements into clear product directions that drive adoption and retention. This position requires a deep commitment to building solutions that empower customers in Azure and AWS landscapes. You will act as the central thought leader for data protection initiatives within the engineering organization. Your work will directly influence the roadmap and success of our cloud-native protection offerings.

What you'll do
- Architect the long-term product strategy for cloud data backup and recovery solutions across major public cloud platforms.
- Synthesize customer feedback and market signals to define future capabilities for Azure and AWS data protection.
- Translate ambiguous business problems into structured product requirements and actionable project plans.
- Partner with engineering leads to define technical specifications that ensure timely and high-quality releases.
- Build business cases using quantitative data to validate investment in new product features and enhancements.
- Coordinate with marketing teams to develop positioning and messaging that resonates with target customer segments.
- Facilitate sprint planning and backlog refinement sessions to ensure alignment with product objectives.
- Evaluate competitive offerings to identify gaps and opportunities for differentiation in the data protection market.
- Lead discovery sessions with enterprise customers to uncover unmet needs and validate solution fit.
- Create high-fidelity mockups and interactive prototypes to visualize the intended user experience.
- Monitor key performance indicators post-launch to assess product health and inform iterative improvements.
- Represent the product in cross-departmental reviews to secure buy-in for major initiatives.
- Mentor junior product managers on best practices for roadmap management and stakeholder communication.
- Serve as the primary escalation point for complex customer scenarios during the sales cycle.
Requirements
- Hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related technical field.
- Possess an MBA or Master's degree in Engineering, which is strongly preferred for this senior level role.
- Bring over 8 years of cumulative experience in product management or related strategic roles.
- Demonstrate proven success in planning, communication, and influencing stakeholders without direct authority.
- Exhibit extensive experience with Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform, or Amazon Web Services ecosystems.
- Show a history of developing or administering solutions within data backup, recovery, or similar data management domains.
- Apply strong business acumen to craft compelling business cases and financial justifications.
- Master the use of written and verbal communication to articulate complex ideas to diverse audiences.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of public cloud ecosystems and modern software development methodologies.
- Operate effectively as a self-driven individual focused on achieving ambitious and defined goals.
- Display a proven ability to build and sustain effective working relationships in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
- Understand the nuances of data security, compliance, and regulatory requirements in cloud contexts.
- Exhibit resilience and adaptability when navigating ambiguous and rapidly changing priorities.
