You will leverage extensive transaction experience to support due diligence processes and ensure high quality deliverables for clients. You will apply professional skepticism and technical accounting knowledge to evaluate complex financial information during M&A engagements. You will partner with clients to understand their strategic objectives and translate them into actionable insights. You will contribute to the development of clear and concise documentation that addresses specific client needs. You will mentor team members to elevate the overall standard of work within your engagement group. You will maintain strict adherence to project timelines and quality standards in a demanding client environment. You will represent Riveron with professionalism in all client interactions to reinforce trusted advisor status.
Key facts
What you'll do
Perform comprehensive quality of earnings and working capital analysis to assess the sustainability of normalized earnings for buy- and sell-side transactions.
Conduct detailed transaction tax reviews to identify potential liabilities and ensure compliance with relevant regulations across deal structures.
Execute operational due diligence assessments to validate commercial assumptions and evaluate target business model viability.
Analyze historical financial statements and non-routine transactions to uncover trends, risks, and opportunities for value creation.
Draft executive-facing sections of presentations, memoranda, and reports to communicate findings and recommendations clearly.
Lead targeted outreach during executive management interviews to gather insights and corroborate information from target companies.
Coordinate with cross-functional team members to align workstreams, manage deliverables, and track progress against strict timelines.
Provide technical coaching and practical guidance to junior analysts to improve technical proficiency and delivery quality.
Support the preparation of opening balance sheet reviews and financial reporting packages to ensure accuracy and consistency.
Participate in firm-wide initiatives related to community service, training development, and internal knowledge sharing.
Assess lender service requirements and document findings to support banking relationships and covenant compliance reviews.
Evaluate distressed transaction scenarios to identify critical issues and propose remediation strategies for restructuring opportunities.
Utilize advanced Excel capabilities to build robust models, including the use of SUMIF, SUMIFS, VLOOKUP, and INDEXMATCH functions.
Champion the application of GAAP and other relevant accounting standards to resolve complex accounting treatments in M&A contexts.
Requirements
You hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, or a CPA, Chartered Accountant, or MBA in Finance.
You possess a minimum of 2 to 4 years of relevant transaction experience within a professional services or corporate finance environment.
You have demonstrated experience analyzing quality of earnings, including adjustments related to EBITDA, working capital, and cash flow normalization.
You are proficient with advanced Excel features and apply functions such as SUMIF, SUMIFS, VLOOKUP, and INDEXMATCH accurately in your daily work.
You understand the fundamentals of transaction tax and can support reviews related to tax implications of M&A transactions.
You are comfortable reviewing financial statements, footnotes, and disclosures to assess compliance and accuracy.
You have the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet firm deadlines in a fast-paced, client-facing setting.
You communicate effectively in writing and speaking, with the ability to synthesize complex data into clear recommendations for stakeholders.
You are willing and able to travel as required to support client engagements across India and potentially internationally.
Nice to have
Experience with lender services and covenant compliance reviews.
Familiarity with integration services and post-close implementation support.
Knowledge of distressed or turnaround accounting and related restructuring concepts.
