About the role
You will provide crucial data-driven insights for complex transactions involving private equity and corporate clients through detailed analysis of extensive datasets. Your primary focus will be uncovering trends and delivering actionable recommendations that guide clients throughout due diligence, post-deal performance, and exit strategies. You will translate complex data into clear insights for both clients and internal teams to ensure strategic decisions are well-informed and data is reconciled to core financial statements or metrics of target companies. This role requires you to maintain high service standards while actively nurturing client relationships and pursuing new business opportunities within an ever-evolving landscape. You will stay ahead of industry trends and emerging technologies to enhance our analytical approach and deliver impactful results that resonate across the entire deal lifecycle.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Analyze extensive datasets using data management technologies such as Alteryx, Hadoop, and SQL to develop detailed EBITDA tables, net working capital analyses, and other essential key financial metrics for transaction services.
- Employ statistical software including SPSS and Minitab along with programming languages like Python and R to perform in-depth analysis and identify trends, risks, and opportunities hidden within complex transaction data.
- Utilize core accounting and financial due diligence skills to ensure all relevant data is reconciled or tied accurately to the key financial data of target companies wherever and whenever possible during the transaction lifecycle.
- Lead data-driven discussions in management meetings and translate complex data findings into clear, strategic recommendations that inform due diligence findings and transaction models for both clients and internal deal teams.
- Oversee the application of analytics platforms such as SAS and Azure throughout the transaction lifecycle to guarantee high-quality, data-driven decision-making and insightful outcomes that support client objectives.
- Mentor junior team members in data analysis techniques and tools, fostering a culture of analytical excellence, continuous learning, and knowledge sharing across the transaction services team.
- Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies to enhance our data analytics capabilities and consistently deliver impactful results that meet evolving client needs and expectations.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships by demonstrating a genuine passion for understanding client challenges and providing tailored analytical solutions that support their strategic goals.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities by leveraging your transaction experience and data analytics expertise to showcase value and drive growth within the Riveron portfolio.
- Ensure all analytical outputs are clearly documented and presented, enabling stakeholders to easily understand findings, track progress, and make informed decisions throughout the deal process.
Requirements
- You must possess a minimum of 5 years of total relevant experience involving a combination of financial due diligence for transaction services and data analytics across diverse engagements and client scenarios.
- You must have a minimum of 2 years of transaction experience specifically focused on quality of earnings, net working capital, and cash flows to demonstrate deep expertise in critical transaction areas.
- You must have a minimum of 2 years of experience with one or a combination of the following technologies: Data Visualization Tools, Data Management platforms, Analytics Platforms, Statistical Software, or Programming Languages as defined in the job facts.
- You must hold a CPA certification and or possess audit experience, as this role requires a strong foundation in accounting principles and financial controls.
- You must demonstrate a passion for developing and maintaining long-term client relationships built on trust, transparency, and mutual success.
- You must thrive in an ever-changing, dynamic work environment where priorities shift quickly and adaptability is essential for team success.
- You must readily identify problems and instinctively look for practical solutions that drive value and improve analytical processes.
- You must demonstrate analytical rigor and strong written and verbal communication skills to convey complex findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- You must have the ability and willingness to travel as required based on client location, ensuring you can support engagements across India and potentially beyond.
