Reformation is seeking a highly skilled Senior Technical Designer with extensive experience in women's clothing, specifically focusing on dresses and elevated ready-to-wear. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, ensuring precision in fit and construction while thriving in a collaborative environment that values teamwork and integrity.

What you'll do
- Develop and manage garment specifications and standards within the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system for assigned product categories.
- Guide the product development process from initial style concepts to final production approval, including garment fit, construction, grading, and trim using technical packs, flat patterns, and fit comments.
- Create tech packs that include garment specifications, construction details, and digital patterns for factories to produce samples.
- Evaluate samples to ensure compliance with company quality standards.
- Communicate necessary revisions to factories through fit comments, updating specifications, patterns, construction details, and sketches.
- Implement fit comments promptly to ensure alignment with production timelines.
- Review graded nest patterns and provide grading guidelines to vendors after fit approval to maintain consistent fit and quality.
- Collaborate with Quality Control to address and resolve quality control issues creatively.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
- 8 to 10 years of experience in Technical Design.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to prioritize tasks and make swift decisions.
- Strong knowledge of garment construction, grading, pattern making, silhouettes, color variations, sewing techniques, fabrics, and trims; familiarity with print design and manufacturing processes is a plus.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- High level of honesty and integrity.
- Capability to multitask, meet deadlines, balance creativity with technical skills, and interpret design sketches for tech packs.
- Experience collaborating with overseas factories.
Compensation
At Reformation, we prioritize transparency and fairness in compensation. The expected base salary for this position ranges from $100,000 to $120,000, plus a potential 5% bonus, depending on various factors including relevant experience, skills, qualifications, and internal equity.
This role may also qualify for an annual discretionary bonus based on factors such as company performance, departmental objectives, and individual contributions. Bonus amounts and eligibility are not guaranteed and are determined at the discretion of the company. Compensation decisions are made thoughtfully and may vary based on individual circumstances and changing business needs.
