About the role
The Merchandise Coordinator at Reformation is an essential part of the merchandising team, responsible for ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of product data throughout the entire product lifecycle. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can manage purchase orders, oversee inventory levels, and generate sales reports to support strategic planning and decision-making. The Coordinator will work closely with cross-functional teams such as Production, Supply Chain, and Merchandising to streamline workflows, improve operational processes, and maintain brand consistency. The position combines analytical skills with administrative support, contributing to the overall success of the company's product offerings and ensuring that the merchandising operations run smoothly and effectively.

What you'll do
- Manage the entire order lifecycle, from initial purchase order creation to final delivery, ensuring all data is accurate, complete, and updated in real-time across relevant systems.
- Maintain and update departmental calendars, tracking tools, and spreadsheets to keep the Merchandising team informed about order statuses, inventory levels, and upcoming deadlines.
- Collaborate closely with Production and Supply Chain teams to monitor inventory flow, identify potential delays, and prioritize outstanding orders to ensure timely delivery of products.
- Generate, analyze, and distribute weekly sales reports, seasonal performance summaries, and other relevant data to support the merchandising and planning teams in making informed decisions.
- Conduct regular audits of product attributes, including descriptions, sizes, colors, and other key data points, to ensure consistency and accuracy across all platforms, including e-commerce and retail systems.
- Evaluate current workflows, systems, and processes to identify inefficiencies or bottlenecks, and provide formal recommendations for improvements to management.
- Facilitate effective communication between internal teams, including Merchandising, Production, Supply Chain, and Design, to ensure a flow of information and maintain brand integrity.
- Assist with administrative tasks, project coordination, and ad hoc support for the Merchandising Manager and team members as business needs evolve.
- Support seasonal planning activities by preparing data, organizing presentations, and assisting with inventory planning and allocation strategies.
- Help maintain compliance with company policies and procedures related to product data management, inventory control, and order processing.
- Participate in cross-departmental meetings to stay updated on upcoming product launches, promotional campaigns, and other initiatives that impact merchandising operations.
- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by providing feedback on existing systems and suggesting innovative solutions to enhance productivity and accuracy.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in merchandising, product management, inventory control, or related fields within the retail or fashion industry.
- Strong proficiency in Excel, including advanced functions such as pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and data analysis tools.
- Experience working with inventory management systems or ERP software is preferred.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks simultaneously without sacrificing accuracy.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret sales data, inventory reports, and other key metrics.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to coordinate with internal teams and external partners.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, managing priorities and deadlines efficiently.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to workflow improvements.
- Ability to adapt to changing business needs and contribute positively to team dynamics.
- Knowledge of fashion retail operations, particularly within sustainable apparel brands, is a plus.

This position requires working on-site in Los Angeles, CA, and may involve background checks. The role is suitable for candidates who can work within the United States. The hourly wage for this role ranges from $24.00 to $26.00, depending on experience and qualifications. Additional compensation may include an annual discretionary bonus based on individual and company performance.
