Agency Development Lead, DACH

About the role

You will serve as the primary strategic partner for key agency groups and holding companies across the DACH region, driving Reddit's presence in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. This role demands a business-building mindset focused on forging long-term, trust-based relationships with agency and holding company stakeholders. You will own the development and execution of strategies that expand Reddit's footprint and solidify its position as a core media platform. You will act as the critical bridge between global agency leadership, regional sales teams, and cross-functional partners to ensure cohesive program delivery. Through your efforts, you will shape the future of brand marketing on Reddit by enabling agencies to unlock authentic community engagement for their clients. You will leverage deep market insights to influence product perception and drive demand for next-generation business solutions. Ultimately, you will be responsible for translating Reddit's community-first vision into tangible growth and customer satisfaction across the DACH landscape.

What you'll do

Serve as the primary point of contact for key agency groups and holding companies across the DACH region, managing strategic interactions and high-level communications.

Act as a liaison between agencies and holding companies and Reddit to develop, refine, and execute strategic programs and partnership frameworks.

Create and execute quarterly and annual holding company go-to-market strategies designed to grow agency partnerships and increase Reddit investment across the DACH market.

Ensure alignment between regional initiatives and broader global and regional sales objectives, maintaining coherence in messaging and targets.

Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders including sales, marketing, and product teams to successfully execute go-to-market strategies and meet shared goals.

Formulate, negotiate, and execute partnership and trading agreements with agency holding companies to secure favorable terms and mutual growth.

Partner with Business Marketing to develop and contribute to tentpole events that strengthen agency relationships and showcase Reddit's value.

Lead educational programs and training sessions for agency teams to drive best practices for using Reddit effectively and innovatively.

Work with agencies to strengthen creative strategy and execution, ensuring campaigns deliver positive business outcomes for clients and Reddit.

Provide advertiser insights and market feedback to Product Marketing and Product teams to inform solution development and positioning.

Partner with Sales on account planning initiatives to accelerate new business acquisition and drive growth of existing advertiser relationships within the DACH region.

Engage in continuous market scanning to identify new agency opportunities, competitive dynamics, and emerging trends impacting Reddit's agency business.

Support the development of tools, playbooks, and resources that enable agencies to scale successful Reddit campaigns and measure impact.

Requirements

8+ years of experience in advertising, media partnerships, or agency development, demonstrating a sustained track record in complex agency environments.

Deep understanding of the agency and holding company landscape across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, including key players and regional dynamics.

Proven success building strategic partnerships and driving revenue growth through influence and relationship management with senior stakeholders.

Strong business acumen with experience developing go-to-market strategies and regional growth plans that align with broader business objectives.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both German and English, enabling clear and persuasive dialogue with diverse stakeholders.

Collaborative and entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to navigate ambiguity, manage competing priorities, and move quickly on opportunities.

Passion for community, culture, and helping brands connect authentically with audiences through innovative and respectful marketing approaches.

Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with senior agency decision-makers, including C-suite stakeholders, to influence strategic direction.

Demonstrated experience working within a matrixed organization, balancing multiple stakeholders, timelines, and deliverables without losing focus on objectives.
