What you'll do

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts to ensure comprehensive coverage of our applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and understand the testing needs for new features and enhancements.
• Execute automated tests and analyze results to identify defects and areas for improvement.
• Participate in the development of test plans and test cases based on functional and non-functional requirements.
• Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Monitor and report on testing progress, providing regular updates to stakeholders on quality metrics and issues.
• Work closely with the development team to troubleshoot and resolve defects in a timely manner.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in software testing and automation.
• Mentor and support junior QA team members in automation practices and testing techniques.
• Contribute to the creation and maintenance of documentation related to testing processes and automation frameworks.
• Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on testability and quality aspects of the codebase.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate automated testing into the continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) pipeline.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in software quality assurance, with a strong focus on automation testing.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript for test automation.
• Experience with automation testing tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or similar frameworks.
• Familiarity with test management tools and methodologies, including Agile and Scrum practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of performance testing tools and techniques is a plus.

Nice to have

• Experience with API testing and tools like Postman or SoapUI.
• Familiarity with cloud-based testing environments and services.
• Understanding of security testing principles and tools.
• Previous experience in a FinTech or similar industry is advantageous.
• Certification in software testing (e.g., ISTQB) would be beneficial.
