What you'll do

• Analyze financial data to prepare accurate reports that reflect the company's financial status and performance.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with local regulations and international accounting standards.
• Conduct variance analysis to identify discrepancies between budgeted and actual figures, providing explanations and recommendations for corrective actions.
• Collaborate with the finance team to develop and implement effective accounting policies and procedures that enhance operational efficiency.
• Support the budgeting and forecasting processes by providing detailed financial analysis and insights.
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and timely.
• Prepare and file tax returns and ensure compliance with local tax regulations, including VAT and income tax.
• Assist in the audit process by providing necessary documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.
• Monitor cash flow and assist in cash management activities to optimize liquidity.
• Engage in continuous improvement initiatives to streamline accounting processes and enhance reporting capabilities.
• Provide training and support to junior accounting staff as needed, fostering a collaborative team environment.
• Stay updated with changes in accounting regulations and best practices to ensure the company remains compliant.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or financial analysis, preferably in a corporate setting.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, including local and international standards.
• Proficiency in accounting software and tools; experience with ERP systems is a plus.
• Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other financial modeling tools.
• Fluency in Spanish is required; proficiency in English is an advantage.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience in the fintech industry or a startup environment.
• Knowledge of tax regulations and compliance in Chile.
• Familiarity with financial modeling and forecasting techniques.
• Certification as a public accountant (CPA) or equivalent is a plus.
• Experience with data visualization tools to present financial data effectively.

• The work schedule is Monday to Friday, with occasional overtime during peak periods, such as month-end and year-end closing.
