About the role
Prex is looking for a dedicated Performance Manager to join their growing team in Argentina. This role is central to building a culture where every team member understands their goals and has the support to meet them. The Performance Manager will design and run the systems that track individual and team progress, turning data into actionable conversations between managers and their reports. You will work hand in hand with department leads and senior leadership to ensure that performance practices are fair, consistent, and aligned with the company's long-term vision, directly shaping how employees experience growth, recognition, and development throughout their time at Prex.

What you'll do
- Design and maintain performance review cycles that cover all departments across the entire organization
- Partner with department heads to define clear key performance indicators and measurable targets for each team
- Analyze performance data on a regular basis and prepare detailed written reports for senior leadership review
- Coach managers on how to conduct effective one-on-one meetings and deliver constructive feedback to their direct reports
- Develop standardized templates and step-by-step processes for goal setting, mid-year check-ins, and end-of-year evaluations
- Monitor employee engagement metrics and identify emerging trends that may require management attention or intervention
- Coordinate calibration sessions across departments to ensure fair, consistent, and unbiased evaluations throughout the company
- Lead initiatives aimed at improving overall team productivity through data-driven insights and evidence-based recommendations
- Create clear dashboards and visual reports that make performance trends easy for leaders to understand at a glance
- Support the onboarding of newly hired managers so they can quickly adopt the company performance culture
- Work closely with the human resources team to align all performance practices with the company's stated values
- Facilitate training workshops on performance management best practices for managers and team leads at every level
- Establish clear performance expectations for new hires during the first 90 days of employment
- Collaborate with finance and operations teams to link performance metrics with business outcomes and revenue goals
Requirements
- Proven track record of managing performance programs or people operations in a professional and structured environment
- Strong understanding of goal-setting frameworks such as OKRs or similar methodologies used to align team efforts
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Spanish to work across the organization
- Ability to handle sensitive employee information with discretion, professionalism, and a high standard of confidentiality
- Hands-on experience working with HR information systems or people analytics platforms to generate meaningful reports
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field from an accredited institution
- At least three years of hands-on experience in a people management or human resources role in a company
- Demonstrated ability to build trust and influence stakeholders across departments without relying on direct reporting authority
Nice to have
- Familiarity with managing performance in remote or distributed team environments across multiple time zones and regions
- Experience with compensation planning, equity reviews, and annual salary benchmarking processes to support fair pay decisions
- Working knowledge of labor regulations specific to Argentina or broader Latin American markets and employment law
- Background in building performance management cultures from the ground up in startup or growth-stage companies
Skills & tools
- Proficiency in spreadsheet applications such as Excel or Google Sheets for data analysis and reporting purposes
- Experience with HR platforms such as BambooHR, Workday, or similar systems for managing employee performance records
- Comfort with presentation and visualization tools for sharing performance insights and trends with leadership teams
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail when maintaining documentation and process guidelines
- Ability to manage multiple projects and competing deadlines simultaneously without sacrificing quality or accuracy
- Familiarity with survey and feedback tools commonly used for measuring employee engagement and satisfaction

- This is a full-time position based in Argentina with standard business hours and a collaborative work environment
- The role reports directly to the head of human resources or a senior leadership partner at Prex
- Prex values transparency and expects open, honest communication across all levels of the organization
- Candidates should be prepared to travel occasionally to other offices or meet stakeholders in person when business needs require it
