Role Overview and Responsibilities
This position is designated as a Remarketing Used Truck Sales Representative. The primary responsibility is to attain truck sales objectives through proactive telephone communication and personal contact with a portfolio of assigned accounts. Success in this role requires a high level of product knowledge and the ability to actively learn and understand detailed customer needs. Representatives are responsible for presenting compelling sales pitches and maintaining the esteemed reputation of the dealership through excellent customer service. The right candidate will consistently sell the correct application to meet client requirements.
Specific duties include the completion of all necessary documentation for truck sales transactions. Representatives must prepare detailed reports to fulfill job duties, ensuring they stay current on all sales materials and collateral. Strict compliance with company policies and procedures, including all safety guidelines, is mandatory. Additional responsibilities include creating advertisements as required, attending mandatory meetings and civic functions, and writing accurate appraisals. The role involves buying, selling, and trading trucks as directed. Representatives are also tasked with moving trucks as required and preparing vehicles for sale. The position encompasses all other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements for Success
Candidates must possess a secondary education degree from a college or university in a related field, or have an equivalent combination of education and experience. A minimum of two years of related experience and/or formal training in commercial truck sales is required. Exceptional communication skills are essential to effectively present complex information in English during one-on-one interactions and small group settings with customers, vendors, clients, and internal colleagues. The ability to read, interpret, and understand detailed documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals is critical for success in this position.
Compensation and Details
The target annual compensation for this role ranges from $50,000 to $100,000, heavily dependent on commission earnings. This structure provides a clear path to significant earnings for motivated individuals.
