About the role

This role involves conducting synchronous video visits with patients navigating midlife, perimenopause, and menopause transitions as part of the Pomelo network. You will own the full clinical responsibility for establishing individualized care plans that align with evidence-based standards for symptoms such as insomnia and brain fog. The position requires you to maintain timely and accurate documentation while adhering to strict clinical, privacy, quality, and compliance standards. You will work independently, exercising strong clinical judgment during patient visits without direct supervision. As a 1099 contractor, you are responsible for your own practice, and Pomelo Care provides support services such as client matching, billing, and administrative assistance. This role is focused on delivering specialized mental health care to women during a significant transitional life phase. You will operate within a network that values diverse perspectives to improve outcomes for mothers and babies.

What you'll do

• Conduct synchronous video visits with patients navigating midlife, perimenopause, and menopause transitions using telehealth platforms.
• Establish individualized care plans based on evidence-based standards, including sleep hygiene for insomnia and cognitive strategies for brain fog.
• Implement non-hormonal symptom management approaches such as CBT-M and CBT-I during patient sessions.
• Maintain timely and accurate documentation for every visit conducted through the Pomelo system.
• Follow applicable clinical, documentation, privacy, quality, and compliance standards for all virtual interactions.
• Work independently with strong clinical judgment to manage patient needs during scheduled visits.
• Accept or decline visit opportunities based on your availability and licensure status without guaranteed minimums.
• Engage with a clinical community through optional case consultations and provider forums to enhance your practice.
• Utilize administrative and technical support to navigate Pomelo's systems and documentation requirements.
• Focus exclusively on patient care while the platform handles billing, credentialing, and administrative tasks.
• Provide care that reflects the diversity of the population served, including varied backgrounds and experiences.
• Support family-centered outcomes by dedicating your expertise to improving mental health during midlife transitions.
• Adapt to varying visit types, lengths, and timing based on patient demand and payer requirements.
• Contribute to a growing network that prioritizes specialized care for women's mental health.

Requirements

• Independently licensed as an LICSW, LMHC, or LPC or at least 5 years in Colorado.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience providing women's mental health care.
• Comfortable using telehealth platforms, video conferencing tools, and electronic documentation systems.
• Strong clinical judgment with the ability to work independently during patient visits.
• Adherence to all clinical, documentation, privacy, quality, and compliance standards.
• Capability to establish individualized care plans based on evidence-based standards.
• Willingness to complete a background screening as part of the credentialing process.

Practical notes

• Engagement is on a contract basis with no guarantee of minimum visits or earnings.
• Providers are compensated on a per-visit basis with rates varying by visit type, length, timing, payer requirements, and other program factors.
• Pomelo does not guarantee a minimum number of visits or earnings.
• Completed visits may result in approximate earnings equivalent to $80.00 to $100.00 per active visit hour.
• You must manage your own schedule and availability for patient visits.
• Credentialing and enrollment with commercial health plans in Massachusetts are handled through Pomelo.
• Personal liability insurance is required as part of the credentialing verification.
• Optional case consultations and clinical updates are available for professional development.
• You may decline visit opportunities without penalty, and Pomelo does not impose minimum participation quotas.
• The role is based at headquarters, and travel is not required.
• Visa sponsorship is not applicable as this is a contract role for independent practitioners.
• There are no specific deadlines for application, but credentialing steps must be completed before active patient matching.
