What you'll do

Orchestrating client matches by interpreting intake tools and aligning your schedule for virtual or in-person care.

Establishing trusted communication with families, delivering education, and providing continuous emotional guidance.

Authoring detailed, compliant visit notes and birth records that satisfy Pomelo standards and regulatory privacy rules.

Reviewing internal protocols, privacy guidelines, and documentation criteria to guarantee complete regulatory compliance.

Coordinating logistical aspects of care, including scheduling, appointment confirmation, and administrative follow-through.

Collaborating with client coordinators to synchronize availability, clarify expectations, and foster stable care partnerships.

Navigating telehealth platforms, video communication tools, and digital record-keeping systems to maintain an efficient workflow.

Encouraging your ongoing engagement in the Pomelo network through participation in training updates, peer discussions, and career development.

Requirements

You possess current certification as a birth doula or full-spectrum doula, with proof of completed training.

You bring direct, in-depth experience in pregnancy, childbirth, breastfeeding support, and postpartum recovery.

You exhibit strong verbal and written communication skills, connecting effectively with families from diverse cultural and personal backgrounds.

You are at ease using video conferencing applications, telehealth platforms, and digital record-keeping tools.

You can commit to evening and weekend availability to serve families requiring flexible, in-person or virtual assistance.

• CREDENTIALING PROCESS & NEXT STEPS

After you apply, our recruitment team will contact you for a 30-minute video discussion. You will be asked to present verification of your training and certification, your NPI number, and your Adult & Infant CPR/First Aid certification. Submission of your Medicaid ID and proof of personal liability insurance is also required. All applicants must successfully complete a background screening.

Joining Pomelo provides the infrastructure you need to focus entirely on client care. We manage insurance credentialing, billing, and administrative tasks so you receive reliable payment for your services. Our client matching and outreach efforts connect you with families based on your schedule and expertise. You will have access to administrative and technical assistance for Pomelo's platforms, plus charting and documentation resources to optimize your workflow. A large peer community of hundreds of doulas is available for ongoing support and professional connection. You maintain control over your schedule, choosing the days and times you are available, with the freedom to accept or decline opportunities as they arise. Pomelo does not enforce minimum match or compensation requirements.
