What you'll do

• Collaborate with clients to gather and analyze business requirements, ensuring that Workday Financials solutions align with their financial objectives.
• Lead the implementation of Workday Financials modules, including but not limited to General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Financial Reporting.
• Configure and customize Workday Financials applications to meet specific client needs, ensuring optimal functionality and user experience.
• Conduct thorough testing of Workday Financials configurations and processes to ensure accuracy and reliability before going live.
• Provide training and support to end-users, helping them to navigate the Workday Financials system effectively.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, processes, and user guides for future reference.
• Assist clients in data migration efforts, ensuring that financial data is accurately transferred to the Workday platform.
• Stay current with Workday updates and enhancements, proactively advising clients on new features and best practices to maximize their investment in the software.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the implementation process or post-launch, maintaining a high level of client satisfaction.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including HR and IT, to ensure seamless integration of Workday Financials with other Workday modules and systems.
• Participate in project planning and status meetings, providing updates on progress and identifying any potential risks or challenges.
• Foster strong relationships with clients, acting as a trusted advisor and advocate for their financial management needs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience working with Workday Financials or similar financial management systems.
• Proven track record of successfully implementing financial software solutions in a consulting environment.
• Strong understanding of financial processes, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex financial concepts into actionable solutions.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building rapport with clients and team members alike.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating strong organizational skills.
• Willingness to travel occasionally for client meetings and workshops, if required.

Nice to have

• Workday Financials certification or relevant industry certifications.
• Experience with data migration and integration tools, particularly related to Workday.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and project management practices.
• Previous experience in a consulting role, particularly within the finance or technology sectors.
• Knowledge of industry-specific financial regulations and compliance standards.

Skills & tools

• Proficiency in Workday Financials modules and functionalities.
• Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and other financial analysis tools.
• Familiarity with data visualization tools and reporting software.
• Understanding of SQL or other database management languages is a plus.
• Ability to learn new software and tools quickly, adapting to evolving technology landscapes.
