Vision Sales Engineer
Job description
VISION SALES ENGINEER - MONTERREY / QUERÉTARO
ABOUT OVERVIEW.AI http://Overview.ai
Manufacturers prioritize automation like never before to protect yield, reduce scrap, and secure throughput. Automated visual inspection delivers some of the highest-impact gains, yet many existing solutions are rigid, heavily programmed, and unable to manage modern production complexity.
Overview delivers edge-enabled AI vision devices that perform assembly verification, defect detection, and orientation checks with new levels of accuracy. These systems integrate directly into live production lines and often deliver measurable improvements on the first day: better yield, lower scrap, fewer escapes, and faster throughput. The technology is new, and the old playbook no longer applies.
Overview's mission is to detect every manufacturing defect in the world.
ABOUT THE ROLE
This is a field-based position headquartered in Monterrey or Querétaro, responsible for establishing Overview's presence across both regions through customer success and technical ownership.
You will work directly with industrial customers in Monterrey, Querétaro, and adjacent industrial corridors, managing the full journey from initial discovery to stable production deployment. Expect to spend 60-80% of your time on factory floors, engaging with operators and leaders, uncovering high-value inspection opportunities, and ensuring reliable deployments. You will act with full autonomy-no scripts, no rigid playbooks-while relying on Overview's engineering team for technical backstop.
This role is ideal for someone who wants to deepen technical expertise, build long-term relationships, and become a trusted advisor across two of Mexico's most strategic manufacturing hubs.

- Capture field insights that shape product direction and deployment tactics
- Build and sustain strong relationships with key operational partners in Monterrey and Querétaro
- Validate system behavior before granting full production acceptance
- Document deployment patterns to streamline future factory engagements
WHO YOU ARE
- Experienced in industrial environments, with background in vision systems, robotics, automation, or advanced manufacturing
- Comfortable working on factory floors, debugging hardware, and supporting live production without hesitation

- Experienced in customer-facing technical roles such as Applications Engineer, Field Engineer, Vision Engineer, Robotics Engineer, or Automation Engineer
- Skilled at conducting technical discovery conversations, clarifying pain points, and outlining clear deployment steps
- Adept at navigating complex manufacturing challenges through structured problem solving
- Professional communicator in both Spanish and English at a working level
- Motivated to master AI vision inspection and continuously expand technical capabilities
WHAT WE OFFER
- Competitive base salary
- Uncapped sales commission
- All-expenses-paid travel to customer sites
