Senior Product Program Manager

About the role

You will serve as the central execution owner for programs that deliver edge AI vision systems to factory floors across North America and China. In this capacity, you will translate abstract strategic themes into concrete, sequenced deliverables that balance technical constraints with customer value. When conflicts emerge between scope, quality, and schedule, you will be the final decision maker, owning the outcome and the narrative for every tradeoff. You will refine product specifications, pressure-test requirements, and manage the entire release lifecycle from pilot validation to full production deployment. Your role demands deep technical fluency so you can speak the language of hardware, firmware, and AI/ML teams without being an expert in every detail. Ultimately, you will ensure that complex edge systems synchronize across continents while maintaining a consistent customer experience and operational stability.

What you'll do

• Translate strategic roadmap themes into scoped, sequenced deliverables for edge AI vision systems, clearly articulating what is in scope, what is phased, and what is cut, with explicit rationale tied to customer impact and factory floor risk.
• Pressure-test and refine product specifications authored by other teams, identifying gaps, surfacing edge cases, and confirming buildability and testability before engineering commits are finalized.
• Run release management end-to-end for physical edge devices, including defining validation gates, coordinating OTA fleet rollouts, and making the final go/no-go decision for each production launch.
• Lead strategic customer deployment programs from initial pilot through full production handoff, ensuring regional stability, operational readiness, and alignment with local expectations.
• Synthesize inputs from sales and applications engineering into prioritized requirements and scope adjustments that protect customer impact while preserving realistic timelines.
• Orchestrate synchronized launches across North America and China, managing localization needs, regional standards, and compliance expectations to keep timelines aligned.
• Verify compatibility between hardware, firmware, and AI models in real edge environments, reducing integration surprises and ensuring smooth factory floor operations.
• Balance tradeoffs between AI model behavior, PLC integration complexity, and schedule constraints to keep factories running smoothly and meet service-level expectations.
• Own the full release cycle for a shipping physical product, including field deployment, post-launch observation, and rapid response to any anomalies that emerge in production.
• Produce tradeoff memos and postmortems that are clear to both executives and engineers, enabling fast alignment and actionable follow-through across technical and business stakeholders.
• Partner with applications engineering to diagnose field issues, turning raw incident data into concrete product insights and corrective actions that prevent recurrence.
• Act as the primary liaison between strategic product leadership and regional deployment teams, ensuring that local nuances are reflected in global plans and decisions.

Requirements

• Bring 5-8 years of program management experience, with multiple years running programs that combine hardware and software deliverables, such as embedded systems, IoT devices, robotics, or industrial equipment.
• Demonstrate a record of accountability for scope decisions, with concrete examples of tradeoffs you made, the reasoning behind them, and the measurable outcomes that resulted.
• Show product judgment that weighs customer impact, business value, and engineering effort during release planning, consistently choosing options that serve long-term stability over short-term wins.
• Exhibit full release-cycle ownership for a shipping physical product, including field deployment, monitoring, and post-launch observation across multiple regions.
• Communicate clearly in writing, producing tradeoff memos and postmortems that executives and engineers both read thoroughly and act upon without further clarification.
• Maintain comfort with technical ambiguity, able to triage issues across layers ranging from sensor hardware to model inference to PLC control logic.
• Work effectively across continents and time zones, coordinating with teams in North America and China while respecting regional norms and regulatory expectations.
• Commit to a stable, long-term partnership with the business, understanding that edge AI vision products require multi-year stewardship to achieve operational maturity.

• Experience with AI/ML product delivery, including model lifecycle management, data pipelines, and inference optimization.

Practical notes

This role is based in Taipei and is a full-time position. The compensation for this role is 180000 USD per year.
