About the role
You will own the end to end technical lifecycle of Overview.ai vision systems installed across Hanoi customer sites, acting as the primary on ground expert for production line integrations. The role requires you to maintain and optimize over 100 AI vision inspection cameras, ensuring they operate at peak performance while minimizing production interruptions. You will troubleshoot complex issues in real time, working independently to resolve problems across multiple customer facilities with speed and accuracy. As the local technical authority, you will manage a small team of contractors and coordinate their work to ensure consistent execution and compliance. You will collaborate closely with engineering and product teams to translate field issues into product improvements and system optimizations. This position demands strong industrial automation expertise, a methodical problem solving mindset, and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and management stakeholders. Your work will directly impact customer satisfaction, system reliability, and the overall success of Overview.ai deployments in the region.

What you'll do
Perform preventive maintenance and system health checks on over 100 Overview.ai vision inspection cameras distributed across Hanoi customer locations.
Provide rapid troubleshooting and resolution of production impacting issues to minimize downtime and maintain throughput.
Install, configure, and commission Overview.ai vision inspection systems on new production lines with strict adherence to safety and quality standards.
Diagnose and resolve electrical and signal quality issues using diagnostic instruments such as multimeters and oscilloscopes.
Integrate vision inspection systems with diverse factory automation equipment, including PLCs using Ethernet/IP, Profinet, Modbus, and OPC UA protocols.
Modify PLC ladder logic to correct integration faults and ensure reliable data exchange between vision sensors and control systems.
Adjust inspection parameters and lighting setups to reduce false rejects while maintaining high detection accuracy and process quality.
Conduct on-site training programs for customer staff on system operation, basic troubleshooting, and safe handling procedures.
Document recurring issues, failure patterns, and root causes to drive enhancements in product features and system stability.
Collaborate with headquarters engineering teams to escalate complex technical challenges and contribute to solution design.
Build trusted working relationships with factory teams, production management, and technical staff to ensure smooth operations.
Coordinate schedules and supervise a small team of contractors for routine maintenance, upgrades, and system checks.
Monitor system performance metrics and proactively identify trends that may indicate emerging risks or optimization opportunities.
Support the deployment of AI-based inspection systems in high-volume production environments while adhering to timelines and quality goals.
Represent Overview.ai as the local technical expert, ensuring clear communication and timely response to customer needs.
Requirements
Hold a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or a closely related technical discipline.
Bring a minimum of 3 years of professional experience in automation roles involving multiple PLC platforms and control systems.
Demonstrate practical experience troubleshooting electrical circuits using diagnostic tools including multimeters and oscilloscopes.
Possess a strong understanding of electrical concepts, including NPN and PPN sensor technologies, signal conditioning, and industrial wiring practices.
Show proven ability to read, modify, and debug PLC ladder logic for integration and troubleshooting purposes.
Have experience managing contractors or small technical teams, ensuring that work is executed safely, on schedule, and to standard.
Exhibit excellent practical diagnostic and problem solving skills applied to real world industrial environments.
Maintain strong written and verbal communication skills in English for coordinating with headquarters and producing technical documentation.
Nice to have
Prior experience with AI-based or automated vision inspection systems and related software tools.
Familiarity with automotive or electronics manufacturing environments and their specific quality and throughput requirements.
Previous exposure to Overview.ai platforms or similar industrial vision systems.
Experience working in high volume production settings where uptime and efficiency are critical.
Possession of additional automation certifications or specialized technical training relevant to inspection and control systems.

Company paid international travel is provided for training and support visits across Asia.
The role operates on a full time schedule with standard working hours aligned with local business needs.
