We are seeking a Process Design Specialist II to enhance our Claims department, bridging the gap between our claims adjusters and the processes that support them. This role is ideal for someone who excels in optimizing workflows and solving operational challenges in a dynamic environment.

What you'll do
- Plan and execute projects by assessing their scope and objectives.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously to ensure timely completion.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders in the claims organization regarding project progress and timelines.
- Identify operational issues through root-cause analysis and implement solutions.
- Evaluate current workflows to pinpoint inefficiencies and develop improved processes and documentation.
- Create process maps independently and facilitate design and improvement sessions.
- Analyze data to uncover trends, monitor project performance against KPIs, and prepare reports.
- Inspire collaboration among peers and leaders to enhance processes and training initiatives.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience in property claims, with a solid understanding of the claims process including FNOL, policy analysis, investigation, coverage assessment, and settlement.
- Strong analytical skills to deconstruct complex issues and identify solutions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on customer service.
- Ability to motivate and influence cross-functional teams without direct authority.
- Proven track record of meeting deadlines while managing multiple priorities; self-directed and organized.
- Openness to learning new methodologies and problem-solving techniques, including process mapping and project management.
- Familiarity with technology and tools, including Microsoft and Google applications, project management software, and AI tools; capable of training others on these tools.
- Competence in analyzing data to drive decisions based on both quantitative and qualitative insights.
Nice to have
- Certification in Lean Six Sigma or a similar process improvement qualification.
- Experience in change management or delivering training to facilitate user adoption during process implementations.
- Background in piloting innovative tools or processes for efficiency improvements, especially in catastrophe claims.
- Comfort in leading virtual training sessions for large groups.
- Ability to understand how the Claims department aligns with the company's overall strategy and manage complex tasks with incomplete information.
