Key facts
What you'll do
- Analyze and interpret data to provide actionable insights for various insurance product initiatives.
- Collaborate closely with the Insurance Product team to define analytical requirements and success metrics for ongoing and new projects.
- Develop comprehensive monitoring frameworks to track performance and trends, offering strategic recommendations to enhance growth and profitability.
- Conduct detailed evaluations of current programs to identify successes and opportunities for improvement.
- Create end-to-end analytical frameworks for complex business challenges, including predictive model development.
- Identify and address systemic gaps in processes and data throughout the insurance lifecycle.
- Engage in competitor analysis to stay informed about industry trends that may influence internal strategies.
- Serve as a technical leader within the analytics team, guiding and mentoring colleagues while using storytelling to influence business decisions.
Requirements
- At least 10 years of experience in insurance products, particularly in personal lines like property or auto insurance.
- Strong analytical skills with a focus on evaluating the effectiveness of insurance product programs.
- Proficient in SQL with expert-level capabilities.
- Experience in developing predictive models using Python or R.
- Proven ability to identify process gaps and influence business outcomes.
- Skilled in gathering requirements and creating dashboards with tools such as PowerBI, Tableau, or LookerStudio.
- Capable of performing cost-benefit analyses to support strategic decisions.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage complex projects independently while meeting deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a track record of effective collaboration with stakeholders at various levels.
- CPCU designation or equivalent insurance certification is preferred but not mandatory.
