What you'll do
- Lead the creation of planning and design documentation for a variety of engineering projects.
- Perform design calculations while adhering to both team and client standards.
- Serve as the project manager for certain initiatives and take the lead as the design engineer on others.
- Ensure that quality assurance and quality control protocols are strictly followed throughout the project lifecycle.
- Work collaboratively with various teams, clients, and consultants to guarantee the successful completion of projects.
- Review and approve design plans and specifications to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide guidance on best practices in design and project management.
- Participate in client meetings to discuss project progress and address any concerns or changes in scope.
- Analyze project risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure timely delivery.
- Prepare and present project updates to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment with project goals.
- Stay current with industry trends and advancements to incorporate innovative solutions into projects.
- Document project workflows and maintain accurate records for future reference and compliance.
Requirements
- A minimum of 6 years of experience in mechanical engineering is required.
- Experience in project management is highly desirable.
- A valid Professional Engineer (PE) License is a must-have.
- Proficiency in Revit software is essential for this role.
- A Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering is required for consideration.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills are necessary to work effectively within a team.
- Previous experience in leading teams and managing engineering projects is a plus.
- Familiarity with data center operations and design principles is advantageous.
- Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and work under tight deadlines.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making is essential.

- The salary for this position ranges from $98,000 to $145,000 USD per year, contingent on experience and location.
