In this position, you will be instrumental in performing traffic studies and transportation evaluations for essential data center projects throughout the United States.

What you'll do
- Participate in various stages of traffic and transportation analysis and design for data center projects on a national scale.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret traffic and transportation data to assess roadway performance, site accessibility, and traffic impacts.
- Develop technical documentation, visual aids, and recommendations to facilitate project planning, permitting, and design efforts.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and ensure effective communication with clients and regulatory agencies throughout the project lifecycle.
- Implement traffic engineering principles, comply with company standards, and adhere to industry best practices while managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines.
- Conduct field investigations and site visits to gather data and validate findings.
- Utilize traffic modeling software to simulate traffic flow and analyze potential impacts of proposed developments.
- Prepare and present findings to stakeholders, including clients and local government entities, to support project approvals.
- Stay updated on the latest trends and regulations in traffic engineering and transportation planning to enhance project outcomes.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of internal processes and methodologies within the Traffic & Technology team.
- Assist in mentoring junior staff and interns, providing guidance and support in their professional development.
- Participate in professional organizations and networking events to enhance personal and company visibility in the industry.
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering is mandatory.
- Must hold an Engineer In Training (EIT) certification.
- At least 1 year of relevant experience in traffic or transportation engineering is required.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are crucial for effective collaboration.
- Ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is essential for documentation and reporting.
- Experience with traffic impact studies, traffic operations analyses, or transportation planning projects is preferred.
- Familiarity with traffic analysis software such as AutoCAD, Synchro, SimTraffic, HCS, VISSIM, or similar tools is advantageous.
- Background in large-scale site development, industrial, mission-critical, or data center projects is a plus.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and a keen attention to detail are essential.

- Experience in assisting with traffic impact studies or transportation planning initiatives.
- Knowledge of various traffic analysis software tools and their applications in real-world scenarios.
