Solutions Consultant Manager, Enterprise
Job description
About the role
You are an in-region leader who makes the GTM motion real on the ground by directly managing a team of Solutions Consultants in Tokyo. You will own the full commercial output of your team, including new logo wins, expansion opportunities, and UBP outcomes, while being accountable for both the headline numbers and the quality of execution that drives them. This role is not a traditional pipeline-management exercise; it is a coaching-first position where you observe live builds, provide specific behavioral feedback, and build the operating rhythm that ensures consistent execution across the region. You will develop people as much as you win deals, leading a regional team in a go-to-market model that is genuinely new for Notion. Your work will set the standard for how humans collaborate with AI tools to drive clarity, speed, and less fragmentation in how customers run their business.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Own the commercial performance of your team across new logo ARR, expansion ARR, and UBP outcomes, accountable for both the headline numbers and the quality of execution that drives them.
- Coach Solutions Consultants on the GTM builder motion, defining what a great first meeting looks like through workflow diagnosis and current-to-future architecture, and guiding reps on a live build in Notion with a compelling value narrative.
- Contribute to and participate in the regional operating cadence, running weekly pipeline reviews, deal support sessions, call reviews against the motion quality rubric, and forecast calls with senior leadership.
- Hire, onboard, and certify new Solutions Consultants to the GTM builder motion, driving readiness from ramp through consistent execution, and managing performance with clarity when expectations are not met.
- Partner with the regional BDR manager on pipeline strategy, outbound targeting, and qualification standards to ensure the team's book of business is healthy and growing.
- Partner with Outcomes leadership on adoption hand-offs, at-risk account management, and renewal strategy, owning the overall commercial arc for the region while collaborating on execution that follows close.
- Represent your team or region in leadership forums with clear signal on what is working, what needs investment, and where execution is breaking down.
- Observe live customer interactions and provide specific, actionable feedback that improves the quality of each engagement in the GTM builder motion.
- Drive adoption of AI tools within your team to work smarter, deliver better outcomes for customers, and stay aligned with the evolving AI landscape.
- Maintain fluency in Japanese and business-level English across speaking, listening, and reading to support global communication with team members and customers.
Requirements
- Track record as a quota-carrying B2B seller with direct experience in workflow design, live demos, or technical sales, able to coach the builder motion because you have run it yourself.
- Frontline sales management experience, including building an operating cadence, running performance management, and developing talent from onboarding through consistent overperformance.
- Strong coaching orientation, with the ability to watch a demo or deal review and identify specifically what to change, why, and what the rep should do differently next time.
- Commercial instincts at the team level, capable of reading pipeline health, identifying risk early, and driving urgency across a team without micromanaging individual deals.
- Native or bilingual level fluency in Japanese and business-level English proficiency across speaking, listening, and reading, including the ability to support team members with global communication.
- You do not need to be an AI expert, but you have a strong interest in the evolving AI landscape, stay closely attuned to industry trends and developments, and are curious and willing to adopt AI tools to work smarter and deliver better results.
- You are intrinsically motivated by building something that lasts and by setting the standard for how humans work together in the AI era.
- You understand that great work remains fundamentally human, even as you leverage AI to remove busywork and create more time for life's work.
Nice to have
- Experience selling or managing in a consumption or usage-based business where adoption signals matter as much as closed ARR.
- Track record building high-performing regional teams from an early stage, from hiring to profile, structured onboarding, certification, and performance management.
- Experience in a shared account ownership model, able to navigate the SC/CSA hand-offs and hold the commercial arc across the full customer lifecycle.
