Manager, Solutions Consultants, France
Job description
About the role
You will own the end-to-end commercial execution of your region as the in-market leader for your team of Solutions Consultants. You translate the Notion GTM motion into day-to-day behaviors that drive new logos, expansion, and renewals. You are a builder who measures success through both numbers and the quality of how work gets done. You coach reps live on workflow diagnosis, live builds, and value narratives to turn activity into adoption. You hold the standard for what a great customer interaction looks like from first meeting to hand-off. You lead through influence, operating rhythm, and consistent inspection of performance against the motion.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Own the commercial performance of your team across new logo ARR, expansion ARR, and UBP outcomes, accountable for both the headline numbers and the quality of execution that drives them.
- Coach Solutions Consultants on the GTM builder motion, defining what great looks like in a first meeting through workflow diagnosis, current to future architecture, and a clear path to value.
- Conduct live build sessions where you observe, provide specific behavioral feedback, and demonstrate how to structure a Notion workflow in real time to create immediate coaching moments.
- Build and maintain an operating cadence that includes weekly pipeline reviews, deal support sessions, call reviews against the motion quality rubric, and forecast calls with senior leadership.
- Hire, onboard, and certify new Solutions Consultants to the GTM builder motion, driving readiness from ramp through consistent execution and managing performance with clarity when expectations are not met.
- Partner with the regional BDR manager on pipeline strategy, outbound targeting, and qualification standards to ensure the team's book of business is healthy, forecastable, and growing.
- Work closely with Outcomes leadership on adoption hand-offs, at-risk account management, and renewal strategy, owning the overall commercial arc for the region while collaborating on execution details.
- Represent your team and region in leadership forums, providing clear signal on what is working, what needs investment, and where execution is breaking down to drive rapid course correction.
- Use data and qualitative signals to identify patterns in win and loss, coach reps on specific improvements, and iterate the motion so it remains effective in the field.
- Balance autonomy with rigor, giving your team the freedom to own their deals while maintaining the discipline of inspection, forecasting, and accountability.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product, marketing, and customer success to close the loop between customer feedback, motion refinement, and commercial outcomes.
- Drive adoption quality by ensuring that every hand-off to customer success includes clear documentation, expected behaviors, and measurable milestones.
- Build a culture of continuous learning within your team by curating best practices, sharing win stories, and turning failures into actionable coaching steps.
- Operate as the primary commercial owner in your region, making timely decisions aligned with Notion's go-to-market strategy while escalating strategic risks and opportunities to leadership.
Requirements
- Track record as a quota-carrying B2B seller with direct experience in workflow design, live demos, or technical sales, enabling you to coach the builder motion because you have run it yourself.
- Frontline sales management experience where you built an operating cadence, ran performance management, and developed talent from onboarding through consistent overperformance.
- Strong coaching orientation where you can watch a demo or deal review and identify specifically what to change, explaining why and what the rep should do differently next time.
- Commercial instincts at the team level, able to read pipeline health, identify risk early, and drive urgency across a team without micromanaging individual deals.
- Fluency in English and French is required to perform the essential functions of this role in all aspects.
- You do not need to be an AI expert, but you are curious and willing to adopt AI tools to work smarter and deliver better results for customers.
- Experience operating in a hybrid work model where the role requires presence in the office on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays as anchor days for in-person collaboration.
- Commitment to working closely with regional teams during scheduled anchor days to build, review, and align on commercial outcomes.
Nice to have
- Experience selling or managing in a consumption or usage-based business where adoption signals matter as much as closed ARR.
- Track record building high-performing regional teams from an early stage, including hiring to profile, structured onboarding, certification, and performance management.
- Experience in a shared account ownership model, able to navigate Solutions Consultant to Customer Success Associate hand-offs and hold the commercial arc across the full customer lifecycle.
Practical notes
This role is full-time and based in Paris, France. You will work from our offices on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays (our Anchor Days) because we do our best thinking and building together in person. We are looking for someone excited to work alongside the team during those days to maintain alignment, build live, and reinforce the operating rhythm. No other hours, travel, visa, or deadlines are specified beyond these anchor-day expectations.
