Manager, Solutions Consultants, DACH
Job description
About the role
You will lead the commercial execution of your regional team as the in-market owner of new logo acquisition, expansion, and renewals for the DACH region. You operate as a coach first, translating the Notion GTM motion into observable behaviors during live calls and live builds with your consultants. You will own the end-to-end quality of execution, ensuring that every customer interaction aligns with the workflow diagnosis and value narrative of the Notion AI workspace. You will build and maintain the operating rhythm that turns individual excellence into consistent team performance across Munich and the broader region. This role requires you to be a hands-on builder who develops people while driving revenue outcomes in a fast-moving AI environment. You will partner with cross-functional leaders to close the loop between sales, adoption, and renewals, ensuring the commercial arc is followed through long after the deal is closed.
Key facts
What you'll do
Own the commercial performance of your team across new logo ARR, expansion ARR, and UBP outcomes - accountable for both the headline numbers and the quality of execution that drives them.
Coach Solutions Consultants on the GTM builder motion, defining what a great first meeting looks like through workflow diagnosis, current state to future state architecture, and a compelling value narrative.
Run live build sessions in Notion, observing consultants in real time and providing specific, actionable feedback to improve motion execution and adoption.
Lead the regional operating cadence, including weekly pipeline reviews, deal support sessions, call reviews against the motion quality rubric, and forecast calls with senior leadership.
Hire, onboard, and certify new Solutions Consultants to the GTM builder motion, ensuring ramp speed, readiness, and consistent execution from day one.
Partner with the regional BDR manager on pipeline strategy, outbound targeting, and qualification standards to maintain a healthy and growing book of business.
Collaborate with Outcomes leadership on adoption hand-offs, at-risk account management, and renewal strategy to own the commercial arc across the full customer lifecycle.
Represent your team in leadership forums, providing clear signal on what is working, what needs investment, and where execution is breaking down to drive focused improvement.
Use data and qualitative insights to identify patterns in win and loss, coaching consultants on specific behaviors that drive successful adoption and retention.
Champion the Notion way by modeling craft, long-term thinking, and human-centered work that aligns with the belief that great work is still fundamentally human.
Build and sustain a high-trust team environment where feedback is direct, development is continuous, and accountability is shared.
Requirements
You must have a track record as a quota-carrying B2B seller with direct experience in workflow design, live demos, or technical sales so you can coach the builder motion because you have run it yourself.
You must have frontline sales management experience, including building an operating cadence, running performance management, and developing talent from onboarding through consistent overperformance.
You must demonstrate a strong coaching orientation, able to watch a demo or deal review and identify specifically what to change and why, including clear next actions for the rep.
You must have commercial instincts at the team level, able to read pipeline health, identify risk early, and drive urgency across a team without micromanaging individual deals.
You must be fluent in English and German, as these are essential for effective communication with clients and internal stakeholders in the DACH region.
You must be willing to adopt AI tools and learn them quickly to work smarter, even if you are not yet an AI expert, because Notion is a collaborative AI workspace.
You must be based in or willing to relocate to Munich, Germany, to fulfill the expectation of working from the office on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays as Anchor Days.
You must be able to travel regionally to support the team, engage with customers, and participate in leadership forums as required by the role.
You must be comfortable operating in a fast-paced, growth-stage environment where process is built iteratively and outcomes are driven by execution quality.
You must align with Notion's belief that great work is still fundamentally human, bringing craft, curiosity, and long-term thinking to your work.
Nice to have
Experience selling or managing in a consumption or usage-based business where adoption signals matter as much as closed ARR.
Track record building high-performing regional teams from an early stage, including hiring to profile, structured onboarding, certification, and performance management.
Experience in a shared account ownership model, capable of navigating SC/CSA hand-offs and holding the commercial arc across the full customer lifecycle.
Practical notes
This role requires availability for regional travel and participation in in-person Anchor Days in Munich on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. You must be willing to work full-time in an employment model that aligns with Notion's cadence for performance, development, and accountability.
