About the role
You will define and execute the Enterprise sales strategy for Japan, owning the full commercial arc from first contact through expansion and renewal. You will act as the primary leader for all Enterprise Solutions Consultants in the region, raising the standard of coaching and execution across every customer interaction. You will diagnose complex workflows and translate them into compelling, live architectures built inside Notion during customer sessions. You will set the quality bar for executive engagement, ensuring every conversation aligns with durable value creation and long-term retention. You will build and scale the GTM motion by shaping playbooks that turn insights into action and action into measurable outcomes. You will be the bridge between customer ambition and product capability, partnering with Product and Engineering to close feedback loops. You will own the narrative of enterprise success in Japan, representing the market in global leadership discussions. You will build a high-performing, cohesive team of consultants who operate with clarity, discipline, and entrepreneurial drive.

What you'll do
Lead the enterprise sales strategy and commercial outcomes for the Japan market, defining territory coverage, account prioritization, and executive engagement plans.
Own the end-to-end customer journey, from initial discovery through live builds, value realization, adoption hand-offs, and renewal health.
Develop and coach first-line leaders and senior consultants, elevating the quality of coaching, role-plays, and performance management.
Inspect the quality of customer conversations, deal reviews, and live build sessions, providing specific, actionable feedback to the team.
Scale the evolved go-to-market motion by refining account strategy, workflow diagnosis, and current-to-future architecture mapping.
Partner with Solutions Consultants and Outcomes Architects to codify playbooks for first and second meetings that drive clear next steps.
Collaborate with BDR leadership to optimize outbound targeting, qualification criteria, and pipeline health for enterprise opportunities.
Work with Product, Legal, and Ops teams to align customer commitments, data usage, and contract terms with enterprise requirements.
Establish operating rhythms such as weekly pipeline reviews, forecast calls, and inspection cadences to maintain execution discipline.
Represent Japan enterprise signals in regional and global leadership forums, highlighting where investment is required and what is working.
Attract, hire, onboard, and retain a world-class enterprise organization that embodies coaching, accountability, and collaboration.
Drive the commercial performance of the segment, managing new logo acquisition, expansion ARR, and renewal outcomes.
Define and manage mutual action plans, adoption hand-offs, and at-risk account management to ensure durable value delivery.
Partner with Marketing and Enablement to develop messaging, customer stories, and training that reinforce the enterprise value narrative.
Requirements
Bring 10 or more years of experience in B2B SaaS, AI, productivity, collaboration, or workflow technology roles.
Demonstrate a proven track record of winning and growing enterprise customers in complex, high-velocity environments.
Show 3 or more years of second-line leadership experience, managing managers and multiple teams through defined operating cadences.
Have a history of leading performance management, talent development, and coaching at scale across a segment.
Exhibit strong enterprise operating discipline, including data-driven decision-making and rigorous pipeline management.
Display experience in managing complex enterprise pipeline across new business, expansion, and renewal motions.
Possess deep expertise in diagnosing workflows and architecting solutions that align with enterprise buying processes.
Commit to building and sustaining a culture of high performance, coaching, accountability, and collaboration within the team.
Nice to have
Experience selling enterprise solutions into Japan or other complex Asian markets.
Background in AI, productivity, or collaboration platforms within an enterprise context.
Track record of building and scaling high-performing sales organizations in regulated or culturally distinct markets.
Practical notes
This role operates full_time from the Tokyo office.
Candidates must be eligible to work in Japan without sponsorship.
