What you'll do

• Lead and mentor a team of software engineers, promoting best practices in software development and agile methodologies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management and design, to define project requirements and deliver high-quality software solutions.
• Drive the architectural design and technical strategy for new features and enhancements, ensuring scalability and maintainability.
• Oversee the software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment and maintenance, ensuring timely delivery of projects.
• Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess team productivity and software quality.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging team members to share ideas and implement innovative solutions.
• Conduct regular code reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices.
• Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies, integrating relevant advancements into the team's workflow.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; a master's degree is a plus.
• A minimum of 7 years of experience in software engineering, with at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership role.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript, and experience with modern frameworks and tools.
• Strong understanding of software development methodologies, including Agile and Scrum.
• Proven experience in managing software development projects and leading technical teams.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically under pressure.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information to diverse audiences.
• Experience with cloud technologies and microservices architecture is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with healthcare technology and regulatory requirements is a plus.
• A passion for improving patient experiences through technology.

Nice to have

• Experience with DevOps practices and tools, including CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of data security and privacy regulations, particularly in healthcare.
• Experience with user experience (UX) design principles and methodologies.
