What you'll do
- Design intake frameworks that standardize requests for analytics work and streamline how requests are captured, assessed, and prioritized.
- Construct analytics components within Databricks and SQL, utilizing Power BI for executive dashboards that bring clarity to critical performance indicators.
- Review data quality and model logic to verify accuracy before dissemination, implementing checks that reduce risk and strengthen trust in outputs.
- Ship insights through Power BI reports that help leadership track progress and outcomes, turning raw data into narratives that drive action.
- Partner with executives to frame problems and define metrics for complex questions, ensuring analysis aligns with strategic objectives.
- Coordinate with technology teams on Microsoft Fabric tools that support BI infrastructure, optimizing pipelines and workflows for reliability.
- Maintain documentation that explains dataset construction and long-term updates, enabling continuity and easing the onboarding of future analysts.
- Guard sensitive candidate information by adhering to strict privacy rules during analysis, reinforcing compliance and ethical data handling.
- Translate ambiguous business questions into structured analytical approaches, guiding stakeholders from hypothesis to validated conclusion.
- Enable self-serve analytics for business users by building reusable datasets, clear calculations, and intuitive interfaces in Power BI.
- Conduct exploratory analyses to uncover hidden patterns, testing assumptions and revealing opportunities that may otherwise remain unseen.
- Establish data governance practices that promote consistency, accuracy, and transparency across the analytics environment.
Requirements
- Bring three to five years of professional data analysis experience that demonstrates growing responsibility and impact.
- Demonstrate proficiency in SQL, R, and Databricks, with comfort in reading and writing code to solve practical problems.
- Operate effectively without constant supervision and manage multiple concurrent tasks while maintaining quality and deadlines.
- Maintain US location and work authorization status without the need for sponsorship, ensuring compliance with employment regulations.
- Commit to traveling to Ankeny, Iowa, for your first day on the job to complete required orientation activities.
- Apply analytical rigor to diagnose issues, validate findings, and communicate results with precision to diverse audiences.
