What you'll do
- Develop and maintain financial models that track revenue and cost drivers to enable accurate forecasting and real-time visibility into workload contribution margins.
- Drive revenue and margin insights by analyzing historical and forward-looking trends to provide actionable recommendations on pricing, packaging, and go-to-market strategies.
- Partner with product managers and sales to evaluate new product features or market opportunities, supporting business case development with data-driven insights.
- Communicate complex technical or financial concepts in a succinct, easy-to-understand manner to stakeholders at all levels across the organization.
- Use SQL to find the "why" behind the numbers by mastering complex data structures and business drivers to deliver timely and accurate insights.
- Leverage Snowflake Intelligence and AISQL daily to automate manual reporting and speed up insight discovery, streamlining complex workflows.
- Build scalable reporting and tooling that translates data findings into automated, high-visibility dashboards for product and finance leaders.
- Optimize cloud spend and infrastructure by identifying and resolving abnormalities to maintain healthy margins and reduce COGS/OpEx.
- Work cross-functionally with Engineering, Product, and Sales to synthesize inputs and ensure alignment on strategic financial decisions.
- Act as an objective, full-stack business partner responsible for increasing workload contribution margin dollars above the current forecast.
- Translate strategic finance analysis into operational plans that accelerate decision-making and improve profitability across the business.
- Proactively identify risks, opportunities, and anomalies in financial performance, then coordinate with stakeholders to implement corrective actions.
Requirements
- Hold a Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Bring 2-5 years of experience in Finance, Investment Banking, Consulting, or Data Analytics.
- Demonstrate strong financial and analytical skills, including the ability to build financial models and analyze qualitative and quantitative data.
- Show capability to juggle competing priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Possess a high aptitude for navigating technical systems and data structures, with comfort using complex schemas and tables.
- Have experience analyzing revenue, COGS, and margin trends in SaaS, Cloud, Data, or Fintech environments.
- Prefer familiarity with Salesforce or other GTM systems for reasoning about historical and forward-looking trends.
- Exhibit ownership and problem-solving mindset by working through ambiguity and taking initiative to push projects forward.
- Communicate exceptionally well both verbally and in writing to influence stakeholders across seniority levels.
- Be comfortable working autonomously while aligning with Snowflake's mission to enable the era of the agentic enterprise.
