About the role
Mixpanel is seeking a fluent German speaker to manage and grow our customer relationships across the DACH region. You will act as a strategic partner to your clients, ensuring they maximize the value of our analytics platform while meeting revenue and retention targets. In this capacity, you will own the end-to-end relationship lifecycle for a defined portfolio of accounts, translating complex product capabilities into clear business outcomes. You will be responsible for driving adoption, identifying expansion opportunities, and ensuring that customer success is intrinsically linked to the health of the business. This role requires a proactive mindset to anticipate client needs and remove obstacles before they escalate. You will serve as the primary internal advocate for your customers within the Mixpanel organization. Key facts
What you'll do
- Assume ownership of a portfolio of 40-75 accounts valued between $2M and $3M, acting as the central point of contact for strategic initiatives.
- Architect long-term strategies for product adoption and business growth within your assigned accounts, aligning usage with evolving business objectives.
- Establish and nurture relationships with director and executive-level stakeholders to align their goals with Mixpanel solutions and demonstrate tangible ROI.
- Maintain precise revenue forecasting and detailed documentation for renewals and upsells directly within Salesforce, ensuring pipeline integrity.
- Design and lead product training sessions, analytics workshops, and collaborative brainstorming sessions to empower end users with data literacy.
- Advocate for customer needs by systematically relaying feedback to our product and engineering departments to influence the product roadmap.
- Orchestrate seamless collaboration with internal teams including Customer Success, Sales Engineering, and Legal to resolve complex account issues.
- Monitor account health metrics vigilantly and proactively address implementation roadblocks or adoption hurdles before they impact retention.
- Drive the identification of expansion opportunities by analyzing usage data and uncovering new use cases for the platform.
- Represent Mixpanel at industry relevant events and virtual touchpoints to reinforce the partnership and deepen the relationship.
- Translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders across the organization.
- Document all customer interactions and strategic account plans meticulously to ensure continuity and knowledge sharing.
- Balance a high volume of accounts with strict attention to detail, ensuring service levels are consistently met or exceeded.
- Contribute to the development of account playbooks and play strategies that can be scaled across the EMEA region.
Requirements
- Demonstrate fluency in German, both written and verbal, to effectively communicate with stakeholders in the DACH region.
- Bring 3+ years of experience in full-cycle SaaS post-sales account management or customer success, with a proven methodology.
- Show a proven track record of managing a book of business in the $1M-$2.5M range, with clear evidence of growth.
- Exhibit the ability to establish credibility and trust with technical users, including those in engineering, product, and design roles.
- Highlight strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach to teamwork, fostering a culture of partnership.
- Display resilience and adaptability in a fast-paced, high-growth environment where priorities shift rapidly.
- Possess a deep understanding of SaaS metrics, including churn, retention, and net revenue retention, and how they impact strategic decisions.
- Show commitment to maintaining the highest levels of professionalism and integrity in all client interactions.

- Acquire previous experience working with high-growth technology companies, navigating the unique challenges they present.
- Develop familiarity with Mixpanel or other digital analytics platforms, reducing the time to proficiency.
- Obtain a background in technical customer-facing roles such as Solutions Architect, Sales Engineer, or Support Engineer, enhancing technical empathy.
