About the role
The Senior Product Manager for the Flex Marketplace at Medely owns the end-to-end strategy, discovery, and execution for the core marketplace that connects healthcare facilities with a distributed workforce. This role requires driving complex marketplace dynamics including supply, demand, matching quality, and retention to ensure sustainable growth and trust. You will challenge existing assumptions, define clear problem statements, and translate ambiguous opportunities into coherent product strategies that measurably improve outcomes for both facilities and professionals. You will work cross-functionally with engineering, design, sales, customer success, clinical, and finance to align on roadmap priorities and ensure seamless execution. This is a hands-on, high-impact role where you are expected to move from problem identification through launch and iteration with full accountability for results. You will leverage data, user research, and marketplace signals to make informed tradeoffs that enhance conversion, engagement, and long-term value. The position is fully remote and requires eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship.

What you'll do
- Define the vision, strategy, and multi-quarter roadmap for critical areas of the Flex marketplace.
- Own major product initiatives from discovery through launch and post-launch iteration, producing high-quality PRDs with clear success criteria.
- Analyze marketplace data, user behavior, and customer feedback to uncover the highest-value problems and quantify their impact.
- Make strategic tradeoffs between conversion, retention, supply, demand, matching quality, operational efficiency, and user experience.
- Partner closely with engineering and design while influencing alignment across product marketing, sales, customer success, clinical, finance, and leadership.
- Establish measurement frameworks, track outcomes, and feed learnings back into the product roadmap to enable continuous improvement.
- Identify emerging risks, gaps, and opportunities in the marketplace before they escalate and propose actionable approaches.
- Apply artificial intelligence and large language models pragmatically to streamline user workflows and increase team productivity.
- Conduct user research and synthesize qualitative and quantitative insights to inform requirements and prioritize features.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure go-to-market strategies, messaging, and sales enablement reflect product value.
- Maintain a deep understanding of marketplace health metrics such as liquidity, fill rates, and time-to-fill to guide decision-making.
- Translate complex business and user needs into clear requirements, acceptance criteria, and technical specifications for the team.
- Monitor competitive landscape and industry trends to ensure the product remains differentiated and best-in-class.
- Drive accountability for outcomes, using data to validate hypotheses and refine the product over time.
Requirements
- Hold 5 or more years of product management experience shipping software within startup, marketplace, SaaS, or scaled technology environments.
- Demonstrate experience owning product areas from discovery through launch and ongoing iteration with measurable impact.
- Exhibit strong product judgment and the ability to define problems, establish success criteria, and evaluate requirements and tradeoffs.
- Show proficiency in using both qualitative and quantitative data to understand user needs, evaluate behavior, and assess marketplace health.
- Communicate effectively with engineering teams and translate technical constraints into clear product decisions.
- Write and speak clearly to diverse audiences including technical, business, and executive stakeholders.
- Have a track record of building or scaling marketplace structures that connect multiple distinct user groups.
- Bring deep experience with matching, supply-demand dynamics, trust mechanisms, onboarding, retention, and liquidity challenges.
- Show background in healthcare, workforce, staffing, labor marketplace, or regulated industries preferred.
- Demonstrate experience leveraging AI, LLMs, or workflow automation to improve product or operations.

- Prior experience in marketplace platforms that balance supply and demand at scale.
- Demonstrated success improving conversion, retention, or engagement in a marketplace environment.
- Experience working directly with healthcare providers or clinical workforce solutions.
- Familiarity with workflow automation and how AI can augment human operations in regulated settings.
