Senior Revenue Enablement Manager
Job description
About the role
This remote-friendly role requires the hire to own enablement across the entire Revenue organization including BDRs, Account Executives, CSMs, AMs, and Channel AEs while reporting directly to the VP of Revenue Operations. The position is coaching-heavy and demands someone who has sold before moving into enablement rather than someone focused only on sales theory. You will spend significant time inside Gong listening to calls, identifying patterns, and converting those insights into practical playbooks and individual coaching plans. The role is hands-on and builder-focused, requiring comfort with running enablement as a lean function without a large team immediately behind you. You must be confident engaging with executive leadership while independently driving the strategy and execution of revenue enablement. The successful candidate will act as the primary translator of product and competitive messaging into field-ready sales behaviors.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Spend roughly 5-6 hours weekly in Gong reviewing Account Executive calls and translating patterns into coaching plans and playbooks.
- Deliver individual coaching plans and real-time kudos to a dedicated group of AEs based on detailed call review and performance data.
- Translate the art and science of selling into concrete, teachable behaviors that sales reps can apply in their very next conversation.
- Build and continuously refine sales methodology and messaging that reps actively use, avoiding the creation of shelfware that never sees the light of day.
- Build enablement programs across the full Revenue organization, covering BDRs, AEs, CSMs/AMs, and Channel AEs from initial onboarding through ongoing advanced skill development.
- Design and implement onboarding for new sales hires that includes a standardized certification process others can run without direct supervision.
- Stand up recurring training cadences, whether group-based, cohort-driven, or hybrid, and evolve the content based on measurable results and feedback.
- Define the leveling path for reps as they move from SMB to Mid-Market to Enterprise, and identify the specific skills required at each stage.
- Partner with Product Marketing to ingest product and competitive content and translate it into sales playbooks, battle cards, and coaching materials as the primary enablement translator.
- Close the feedback loop to Marketing and Product teams by surfacing what the reps need to be effective in the field based on the most call exposure.
- Support recurring program asks such as referral initiatives and reference programs, ensuring sales behaviors align with broader revenue goals.
- Operate day-to-day within Gong and Salesforce since Tapcheck does not yet have a dedicated enablement platform, requiring you to build effective programs without one.
- Identify and evaluate AI and sales tools that the Revenue team needs for future scalability and improved performance.
- Bring a grounded, practical perspective on what tools and systems are worth building or purchasing as the function matures and scales.
Requirements
- Spent 7-10 years in B2B SaaS or fintech sales and sales enablement, ideally progressing from a quota-carrying rep role into enablement.
- Managed and coached a team of reps directly, such as in a BDR or SDR Manager capacity, before transitioning into an enablement-focused position.
- Coached individual reps using call review platforms like Gong to translate observed patterns into concrete, actionable feedback.
- Built certification, onboarding, or training programs from scratch in an organization that lacked an established enablement function.
- Operated as a team of one or close to it, demonstrating comfort in building and running enablement without a large supporting team.
- Partnered cross-functionally with Marketing, Product, and Sales leadership, effectively translating complex content into field-ready coaching and messaging.
- Communicated confidently with senior executives and leveraged that access productively without being intimidated by the room.
- Must already possess the right to work in the United States without requiring employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future.
Nice to have
- Sold to HR, Payroll, or benefits buyers in a previous capacity.
- Familiar with modern sales methodologies such as MEDDICC, Challenger, or Command of the Message.
- Deep hands-on experience specifically with Gong and Salesforce for day-to-day enablement and reporting.
- Defined a rep leveling or career path, such as progression from SMB to Mid-Market to Enterprise.
- Experience evaluating AI-powered sales or coaching tools to support future Revenue team needs.
