What you'll do
- Lead the planning, execution, and closure of projects within the Critical Projects Group at Martinconcrete.
- Develop detailed project schedules, milestones, and deliverables aligned with organizational priorities and strategic goals.
- Coordinate with engineering, operations, and leadership teams to define project scope, objectives, and success criteria.
- Monitor project budgets and resource allocation to ensure financial targets are met throughout each project phase.
- Identify potential risks early and develop mitigation strategies to keep projects on track and within budget.
- Prepare regular status reports and present progress updates to senior management and key stakeholders.
- Facilitate meetings across cross-functional teams to resolve blockers, align on priorities, and drive decisions forward.
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including plans, change requests, status logs, and lessons learned records.
- Manage vendor and contractor relationships related to project deliverables, procurement, and external service agreements.
- Ensure all project outcomes meet quality standards and comply with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
- Track key performance indicators and report on project health using established metrics and dashboards.
- Support continuous improvement efforts by recommending process changes based on project outcomes and team feedback.
- Align project milestones with the broader business strategy to ensure initiatives contribute to Martinconcrete's growth.
- Conduct post-project reviews to capture insights, document best practices, and share knowledge across the organization.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in project management, business administration, engineering, or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Proven experience managing complex projects from initiation through completion in a corporate or industrial environment.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies, including both waterfall and agile frameworks and their applications.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities simultaneously under tight deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective stakeholder engagement, reporting, and presentation delivery.
- Proficiency with project management software and tools for scheduling, tracking, and resource planning.
- Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make informed decisions quickly in high-pressure situations.
- Experience working in a construction, manufacturing, or industrial setting is preferred for this role.
Nice to have
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or an equivalent recognized credential in project management.
- Familiarity with enterprise resource planning systems and financial reporting tools used in corporate settings.
- Experience managing projects with budgets exceeding one million dollars across multiple concurrent workstreams.
