What you'll do
- Lead and manage multiple mission-critical construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring they meet quality standards, budget constraints, and deadlines.
- Collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to develop project scopes, schedules, and budgets that align with client expectations and industry standards.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, address any issues that arise, and ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality control measures.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and team members to foster a collaborative work environment and facilitate effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
- Prepare and present project updates, including progress reports, financial forecasts, and risk assessments, to senior management and clients.
- Implement and enforce project management best practices, ensuring that all team members are aligned with project goals and methodologies.
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize project disruptions and ensure timely delivery.
- Oversee the procurement process for materials and services, negotiating contracts and managing vendor relationships to optimize project costs.
- Mentor and guide junior project managers and team members, providing training and support to enhance their skills and professional growth.
- Ensure that all project documentation is complete, accurate, and organized, facilitating smooth transitions between project phases and stakeholders.
- Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices in mission-critical construction to drive innovation and efficiency in project execution.
- Participate in post-project evaluations to identify lessons learned and areas for improvement, contributing to the continuous enhancement of Martinconcrete's project management processes.
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in project management, with a focus on mission-critical facilities or similar high-stakes environments.
- Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale construction projects, demonstrating strong leadership and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail and a proactive approach to project challenges.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools, such as Microsoft Project, Procore, or similar platforms.
- Knowledge of construction safety regulations and best practices, with a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Willingness to travel as needed to project sites and client meetings.
