What you'll do
- Lead and manage field operations, ensuring that all projects are completed on time and within budget while adhering to safety regulations and quality standards.
- Develop and implement operational strategies that enhance productivity and efficiency across all job sites.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure seamless communication and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.
- Monitor project progress and performance metrics, providing regular updates to senior management and stakeholders.
- Conduct site visits to assess operational challenges and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Oversee the allocation of resources, including labor, materials, and equipment, to optimize project execution.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment for all employees and subcontractors.
- Train and mentor field staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
- Manage relationships with clients, ensuring their needs are met and addressing any concerns that may arise during the project.
- Prepare and manage budgets for field operations, ensuring financial targets are met.
- Collaborate with the procurement team to ensure timely delivery of materials and supplies necessary for project completion.
- Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices to enhance operational effectiveness and competitiveness.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in field operations management within the construction or concrete industry.
- Proven track record of successfully managing multiple projects simultaneously, demonstrating strong organizational skills.
- In-depth knowledge of construction processes, safety regulations, and quality control standards.
- Excellent leadership and team management abilities, with a focus on fostering collaboration and accountability.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools, as well as Microsoft Office Suite.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with team members, clients, and stakeholders.
- Ability to travel to job sites as required, which may include overnight stays.
Nice to have
- Certification in Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar credentials.
- Experience with Lean Construction principles and methodologies.
- Familiarity with environmental regulations and sustainability practices in construction.
- Previous experience in a leadership role within a concrete manufacturing or supply company.
